What Does the Pink Ribbon Do in Deltarune?

The Pink Ribbon is presented as the counterpart to the White Ribbon, which is typically the first armor piece acquired in the game. The Pink Ribbon confers two primary effects upon its wearer:

Defense Increase: It enhances the wearer's Defense by 1 point, providing a marginal, yet beneficial, increase in survivability.

Increased Graze Area for TP: More notably, it significantly increases the graze area for obtaining TP (Tension Points) by 44%. This unique effect makes gaining TP during combat considerably safer, as it widens the window for narrowly avoiding enemy attacks to build up your Tension Meter.

However, as a strategic counterbalance, it's important to note that from Chapter 3 onwards, the TP gain is reduced by 20%. This implies that while the increased graze area makes TP acquisition safer, the overall rate of TP gain will be slightly slower in later stages of the game.Beyond its direct benefits to defense and TP gain, the Pink Ribbon possesses a valuable secondary use:

• Crafting the Twin Ribbon: You can present the Pink Ribbon to Malius in Castle Town (the Top Bakery) alongside the White Ribbon. Malius is capable of reforging these two ribbons into the Twin Ribbon, which serves as an upgraded and more powerful version of both constituent ribbons.

How To Obtain the Pink Ribbon in Deltarune

The Pink Ribbon is exclusively obtainable during Chapter 2 of the game. It is intentionally hidden within a secret alleyway in Cyber City, which can make its discovery a bit challenging.

Here's how to locate it:

Location Context: You will find the area containing this secret alleyway after you have passed through the First Alleyway in Cyber City.

Post-Puzzle Progression: Specifically, after you meet Noelle and successfully solve the first Annoying Mouse Room puzzle, you will advance into a new area.

Addison Encounter: In this subsequent area, you will encounter the Addisons for the first time.

Finding the Entrance: Near the bottom left section of this area, you can find the discreet entrance into the secret alleyway.

Identifying the Entrance: You can easily identify this alleyway entrance by the presence of two Ambyu-Lances running around nearby. These enemies serve as visual cues for the hidden path.

Retrieving the Ribbon: Once inside this secret alley, open the chest located within it. This chest will contain the object you desire: the Pink Ribbon.
