With these new additions come fresh armor sets and weapons to craft, but as any seasoned hunter knows, obtaining the rarest materials requires dedication (and a bit of luck).
One of the most sought-after—and frustratingly rare—materials is the Seregios Dissenter, a crucial component for forging high-tier Seregios gear. If you're struggling to get your hands on this elusive drop, this guide will walk you through the most efficient farming method.

How to Unlock Seregios in Monster Hunter Wilds

Before you can start hunting Seregios, you’ll need to meet a few prerequisites:

• Reach Hunter Rank (HR) 31 – Progress through the main story and optional quests to level up.
• Complete "A World Turned Upside Down" (Chapter 5-2) – This story mission is mandatory to unlock Seregios.

Once these conditions are met, Alma will notify you of a new quest in Kunafa Village (Windward Plains) titled "Clear With a Chance of Sandstorm." This mission serves as your first encounter with Seregios, rewarding you with Dalthydon Wool and Sharp Kunafa Cheese upon completion.
Additionally, after finishing the HR40 Assignment quest "What Lies Ahead," the Tempered Seregios variant will begin appearing in certain regions.

How to Get Seregios Dissenter – Best Farming Method

The Seregios Dissenter is an incredibly rare drop, with only a 1-2% chance from carves or quest rewards when fighting the standard version. However, there’s a guaranteed method to secure this material—by targeting Tempered Seregios through Investigations.

Step 1: Force a Tempered Seregios Spawn

Open your map and check the Forecast tab under Environment Overview.

Look for Seregios (or its Tempered variant) in the Windward Plains or Ruins of Wyveria.

• Windward Plains has a higher spawn rate.
• Fallow weather conditions seem to increase its appearance chance.

If Seregios isn’t in the current Forecast, rest at your tent (costs 500 Guild Points) to cycle the monster lineup.

Step 2: Save as an Investigation

Once you spot a Tempered Seregios with Seregios Dissenter listed as a Bonus Reward:

• Select its icon on the map or in the Environment Overview.
• Choose "Save as Investigation"—this lets you hunt it up to three times.
• You can also perform a Field Survey for an additional drop chance.

Step 3: Hunt Efficiently

Since Tempered Seregios is a Difficulty 8★ monster, prepare accordingly:

• Bring Thunder or Ice weapons (Seregios is weak to these elements).
• Equip Evade Extender to dodge its relentless aerial attacks.
