How to create a lobby in Chained Together
As soon as you reach the main menu of the game, click on the Play option and then select Host a game. Now you need to choose a lobby name and password that you can share with others to allow them to join. Additionally, you will be prompted to select from the following difficulty levels:
- Beginner: This mode does not fall irreversibly, as there is a button in the pause menu that allows your team to continue from the highest point reached before falling. There are three checkpoints; However, please note that Steam achievements and trophies cannot be earned and your time will not be added to the leaderboards.
- Normal: When you reach the summit, your time is added to the leaderboards, but there are no checkpoints, so you start over when you fall.
- Lava: There are no checkpoints in Lava mode either. Additionally, the lava will always chase you and aims to reach the top before catching you.
The difference between open and closed chains
One player will lead and the rest will follow in line with open chains. This puts the team leader in control of most of the moves. Locked chains allow each team member to have full control over the movement of the others. This naturally increases the team's need to plan and coordinate each move with special care.
How to invite acquaintances to a lobby meeting
Chained Together update 1.7.2 added the option to invite friends via Steam Overlay. After creating a lobby, simply press Shift and Tab to open the Steam Overlay and invite the players you want.
How to work as a local team at Chained Together
Make sure all input devices for each player are connected to the computer if you want to play Chained Together locally. The game screen and gameplay will be adjusted based on the number of team members.
