PC Save Transfer: Moving Your Files
If the automatic save migration failed when you installed the full release of Ball x Pit on your desktop or laptop, follow these simple steps to copy your progress:
1. Locate the Demo Save Folder:
First, you need to find the folder containing your demo progress. Navigate to the following location on your PC:
(Note: Replace "YourUserName" with your actual Windows username. The AppData folder is often hidden, so you may need to enable "Show hidden files" in your File Explorer options.)
2. Copy the Contents:
Once inside the demo folder, copy all the contents.
3. Locate the Full Game Save Folder:
Next, navigate to the save location for the full version of the game:
4. Paste the Files:
Paste the files you copied from the demo folder into this new location. If prompted to replace any existing files, confirm that you want to replace them. This will overwrite the empty or new save files with your existing demo progress.
The next time you launch the full release of Ball x Pit, all your previous playtime, unlocks, and high-score data will be ready and waiting!
Steam Deck Save Transfer: The Linux Path
Playing the demo on the Steam Deck offers a fantastic portable experience, and you absolutely can transfer that progress, too. Since the Steam Deck operates on a Linux-based system, the file paths are slightly different, but the process is the same: copy and paste.
