Method 1: Expedited Elimination (Passive Approach)


  • 1. Locate the cave-in within Grymforge at coordinates (X: -635, Y: 331).
  • 2. Initiate dialogue with the obstructed passage. True Soul Nere will be revealed.
  • 3. Crucial Step: Abstain from clearing the blockage.
  • 4. Progressing through a long rest at camp will simulate the passage of time. The poisonous gas within the cave-in will ultimately claim True Soul Nere's life.

Method 2: Direct Confrontation (Combat Approach)


1. Navigate to the cave-in at the aforementioned coordinates within Grymforge.

2. Option A (Explosives Available): Detonate your explosives directly on the rubble, clearing the passage.

3. Option B (No Explosives): Interact with the nearby miners and locate Philomeen. Acquire her Runepowder vial. Place the vial near the blockage and trigger its detonation with a fire spell or another explosive in your inventory.

4. Engaging with the freed True Soul Nere will initiate a combat encounter.
  •     You will be allied with True Soul Nere and his Mind Master followers.
  •     Your adversaries include Elder Brithvar, his forces, and the remaining inhabitants of Grymforge.
  •     Exercise caution, as enemies may attempt to shove party members into lava during the fight. Be prepared for coordinated attacks as well.

Additional Considerations


  • Detonating explosives on the rubble triggers the quest immediately. 
  • To access Grymforge, travel past the Arcane Tower and proceed north towards the Decrepit Village's beach.
