There are two possible endings to Amanda the Adventurer 2, and they both hint at the possibility of a third game. The game can terminate unexpectedly if you give the monster the wrong toy, but that's on purpose and only takes you to the main screen so you can keep playing. To find the whereabouts of the office desk keys, you must burn the microfilm three times while watching the Do You Feel Safe? video.
Upon seeing the end cutscene, you may have discovered the tape player adjacent to the large red button, as we did. The second ending starts when you find the cassette tape and insert it. The cassette tape can only be obtained by locating all four hidden tapes. As we are engulfed in the darkness, we are compelled to listen as a new monster tears Kate apart. A twisted Wooly is shown when a single light flickers on. At first, it is assumed to be Amanda's dark form.
Joanne screams in terror and anguish as this Wooly shape, which is more violent than Amanda, rips at her flesh. Based on her last pose as the hatch doors close and her interactions with the items you have to give her in the Let's Hunt for Treasure tape, we can infer that Amanda breaks Joanne's neck in the default ending, which is significantly more subdued. Is Wooly, like Rebecca, a kid in a similar situation?
If you listen to the cassette recording to the mysterious finish, you'll finally know what happened to Aunt Kate. Despite leaving a message for Riley, it was never returned. Kate warned Riley not to watch the tapes because they would make her anxious while driving. But by that point, Riley's mind has been utterly consumed by the horrors of Hameln, and it refuses to budge. We find out that Kate was the next casualty after Caroline and the rest of the team involved in the Hameln investigations. It is now official that all individuals involved in the investigation into Hameln have passed away. It is unclear whether Kate's vehicle crash was staged by the company or if she left Riley her video, knowing it would be her final message.
But the most shocking thing is that the possum and Masked Figure who plagued Amanda and Wooly in every tape have finally been identified. Joanne, the masked figure, is on the hunt for her brother Jordan, the possum. The possum's cries for Riley are audible, and Riley can make out the beginning of a word: "Joh." Although they were only minor characters in the first film, Joanne and Jordan played pivotal roles in the second. Reading the letters on the bulletin board in Kate's attic reveals Joanne and Jordan's story in the first game.
Knowing that her brother Jordan's disappearance had something sinister to do with the Amanda the Adventurer TV show, Joanne contacted Kate to discuss the matter. She stated that Kate's death was primarily caused by her involvement in the probe. She made destroying all Amanda the Adventurer tapes her number one priority in her relentless pursuit of her brother's freedom and justice.
At the end of the game, Riley is forced to abandon Joanne and head for the hatch, since the fate of the missing children is now entirely in her hands.
