How to Enter the Arboretum in AI Limit

In the enigmatic world of AI Limit, you'll encounter various items that seem unassuming at first but hold the key to unlocking new areas and progressing your adventure. The Arboretum Key, which you obtain relatively early in the game, is one such crucial item. This guide will walk you through how to use the Arboretum Key after acquiring it.

AI Limit: How to Enter the Arboretum

Obtaining the Arboretum Key:

You will receive the Arboretum Key as a reward after defeating Lore, the first significant boss in AI Limit who guards the exit of Sewer Town.

The Journey to the Spirit Depths and Beyond:

Once you have the Arboretum Key, you'll need to embark on a journey to the Spirit Depths map to actually use it. Be prepared, as the Spirit Depths is located approximately seven boss fights further into the game from Lore. Take your time exploring, leveling up, and acquiring the best early gear AI Limit has to offer along the way to make this journey smoother.

The Way to the Arboretum (Step-by-Step):

Follow these directions from the Spirit Depths map to eventually reach the Arboretum and use your key:

Initial Platforms: From your starting point in the Spirit Depths, follow the main platform all the way to its end.

Left Turn and Ledge: At the end of the platform, turn left and follow the narrow ledge.

Hard-Light Platforms Descent: You will soon see more hard-light platforms below you. Carefully drop down onto each of these platforms.

Forward Progression: After descending the platforms, continue moving forward.

Doorway and Enemies: Look for a doorway that leads to a set of stairs. You'll likely encounter some Necros on the left side of this area.

Ascend the Stairs: Go up the stairs, dealing with or evading the Necros as you see fit.

Cleansing Knight and Panic Reaper: At the top of the stairs, you will likely witness a Cleansing Knight and a Panic Reaper engaged in combat. You can choose to ignore them or finish off the victor.

Opening and Another Ledge: Head out through the opening in the wall and onto another ledge.

More Hard-Light Platforms: You will see another set of hard-light platforms below this ledge. Carefully drop down onto them.

The Elevator Shortcut:

Reach the Top: Continue navigating the platforms until you reach the top of this section.

Magic Butterfly and Clergy Knight: At the top, you'll encounter a magic butterfly that drops Dew Essence. Defeat it. Be cautious of the hammer-wielding Clergy knight in the vicinity.

Locate the Elevator: Find the elevator that is near the Clergy knight.

Ride the Elevator Down: Step onto the elevator and ride it down to the bottom.

Follow the Hall: Once you reach the bottom of the elevator shaft, hop off and follow the adjacent hallway.

Clergy Swordswoman and Door: To your left in the hallway, you will encounter a Clergy swordswoman. Defeat her. After dealing with her, open the nearby door.

Dormant Array Branch Shortcut: This door will lead you back to the Dormant Array Branch, creating a valuable shortcut.

To the Arboretum:

Rest at Dormant Array: Use the Dormant Array Branch to rest and recover.

Utilize the Shortcut: Return through the shortcut you just unlocked, back to the area with the Clergy swordswoman.

Engage or Evade: Deal with the Clergy swordswoman again.

Return to the Elevator: Head back to the elevator you used previously.

Ascend and Get Off Early: Send the elevator back up, but jump off midway through its ascent.

Hard-Light Platforms Down the Shaft: You will see more hard-light platforms below you within the elevator shaft. Carefully follow them down the shaft.

Final Platform and Doorway: Jump off the final hard-light platform and onto the nearby doorway.

Hall to the End: From the doorway, follow the hallway until you reach its end.

Right Turn and Tunnel: At the end of the hall, turn right. You should find a small tunnel.

Withered Forest Path: This tunnel leads to the Withered Forest. From this point, it's a relatively straightforward path leading up to the Arboretum.

Unlock the Arboretum: Once you reach the Arboretum door, use the Arboretum Key to unlock it.

Arboretum Branch and Soil: Upon entering, you will be greeted by the Arboretum Branch (a likely save point) and some Soil, which you can give to the NPC Delpha.

Congratulations! You have successfully navigated the treacherous path from obtaining the Arboretum Key to finally using it to unlock a new area and potentiallyprogress a questline with Delpha. Remember to explore the Arboretumthoroughly for new items, enemies, and secrets.
