Battery banks are an integral part of 7 Days to Die because they will keep all the electrical components running in your base, sans any outside power source. Though these systems are quite useful, it is not as easy to get your hands on Battery Banks as by tripping over one in nature. Preparing Battery Banks for extended use is a bit more involved than just hooking it up with cables; therefore, using them is not immediately obvious either.

How to acquire the Battery Bank in 7 Days to Die

The only way one can get Battery Banks in 7 Days to Die is by crafting them. This will require you to have an operative Workbench and at least a level of 75 in the Electrician skill of crafting.

10 Forged Iron: Manufactured at any Forge, which you'll find in structures and can also purchase from a merchant.
11 Electrical Parts: Search for these in the parts bin. These are a great salvage when cleaning out old equipment, or you can always purchase them from a merchant.
6 scrap polymers: these are the stuff of trashed plastics, old clothes, and household items, basically.

Tips for Using a Power Bank

As with all electrical devices in 7 Days to Die, the Battery Bank requires a Wire Tool. You can craft one on a Workbench using nine Forged Steel and three Mechanic Parts.

Holding the interact key down while approaching the battery bank will make a menu pop up where you can activate and deactivate the battery, or access to a more detailed screen where you'll be able to see the battery compartments, current power, maximum output, and more. Assuming it is switched off and has no batteries inside, you will have an extra choice to retrieve and add the Battery Bank to your inventory if it is inside your base.

First, you will want to connect a Battery Bank with a secondary power source - like a Solar Bank - in order to charge it. To do this, right-click the Battery Bank on the power source. The Battery Bank - when it is in its default off position - will only regulate the other electrical currents; you need to turn it on in order to actually charge it.

The good thing about the battery banks in 7 Days to Die is that they do not produce much heat, and they are silent during their operation, in contrast to other alternatives, which make a very loud and annoying buzzing noise. Besides, you can place the battery banks on the floor, ceiling, or even on walls. That, of course, depends on your needs, at least how you want to arrange things in your base.

A workaround for this is that the buzzing noise is usually produced by the combination of the Battery Bank and Solar Bank. From personal experience, I can attest to the fact that the noise will not be an issue if you build a battery/solar stack inside a piece of cobblestone at least ten blocks away from your base. From that point, you can connect a spool of wire without disturbing anyone.
