Riot Games' new fighting game,
2XKO, introduces a fresh approach to the fighting game lobby. Instead of a simple menu, players are represented by a customizable avatar that they can use to interact with other players in a dynamic, social space. This unique feature allows you to express your personal style and stand out from the crowd before a match even begins. For players eager to customize their avatar, here’s a quick guide on how to do so.
2XKO: How to Customize Your Avatar
Accessing the Customization Menu
To begin customizing your avatar, you need to be in the main menu. From there, navigate to the
"Collection" tab, which is represented by a backpack icon. This section is your hub for all things cosmetic, including your avatar, expressions, player cards, and more.Once inside the
"Collection" menu, you will see several categories. Select
"Avatar" to open the customization options for your in-game character. Here, you can change your avatar’s appearance, clothing, and accessories. The options for customization are extensive, allowing you to mix and match different pieces to create a unique look.
Understanding the Different Cosmetic Categories
2XKO offers a variety of cosmetic items to make your avataryour own. These items are earned or purchased, and you can browse yourcollection to see what you have available.
- Avatar:This is the main customization area where you can change yourcharacter's clothes, hairstyle, and other physical features. You can mix and match different parts to create a unique look, with many itemsinspired by champions from the League of Legends universe.
- Expressions: These are emotes that your avatar can perform in the lobby tocommunicate with other players. It's important to note that someexpressions may be character-specific, so you'll need to customize themone by one.
- Cards and Titles: These are displayed on your player profile and are visible to others when you are loading into amatch or interacting with them in the lobby. They are typically unlocked through progression, achievements, or special events.
- Stages: While this section is not for avatar customization, it is part of the"Collection" and allows you to view and select the stages you haveunlocked for matches.
Standing Out in the Lobby
The matchmaking lobby in 2XKO is not just for finding a game; it's a social space where you canspectate other players' matches and show off your style. Your customized avatar will be seen by everyone, so it's the perfect opportunity toflex your rarest cosmetics and become the star of the lobby.
Youmay also notice some players in the lobby with a vibrant, glowing auraaround their avatars. These auras are not cosmetic items you canpurchase; they are a visual indicator of a player's active winstreak. Afiery orange or red glow signifies a player with a winstreak, while abrilliant blue aura represents the highest tier, typically a winstreakof ten or more. This adds a competitive flair to the social hub, asplayers can see who is on a hot streak and who they might want tochallenge next.
