Zenless Zone Zero, the open-world action RPG developed by HoYoverse, offers a limited multiplayer experience upon its official release on July 4, 2024. While it does not feature full co-op or robust PvP features, players can enjoy two multiplayer options: Reckless Challenge and Game Room.

How to Play Co-op in Zenless Zone Zero?



Reckless Challenge



  • Description: A challenging co-op combat mode similar to Echoes of War in Honkai Star Rail. Players team up to take on powerful enemies and earn rewards to enhance their characters' skills.
  • Location: The VR headset next to the Workbench in the Video Store.


Matchmaking



  • Random: Players search for the game mode simultaneously to increase the odds of joining the same session.
  • No Official Invite: There is currently no formal method for inviting friends, but random matching may work.
  • Rewards: Materials to upgrade agent skills.


Games Room




  • Description: Arcade minigames located in the Godfinger Arcade on Sixth Street.
  • Availability: Unlocked by default upon accessing the Arcade.
  • Games: Various minigames, including Soul Hounds III and BoB: Bodacious Brawl.


Add Friends



  • Start the game and access the character screen.
  • Pause and open the in-game menu.
  • Select the profile name to view account information.
  • Choose "Inter-Knot Friends."
  • Press "Add Friends" and enter the friend's UID.


Additional Considerations



Future Development: Zenless Zone Zero's multiplayer mode is still in development. The developers have expressed interest in implementing full co-op and PvP features in the future.
