The first thing you have to do is obtain the information that links to the Core Crystal, this is the Greedy Monster information, which has a price of 5000 G and you can get it from any informant after reaching Mor Ardain or talking to Razzlydazzly in the Goldmouth port of departure from Argentum after chapter 4. With the information in hand, you will be able to unlock a monster called Gluttonus Marrin, who you will have to eliminate to obtain the core.
Information says: A monster that ate a famous driver has been seen in the Chansagh Wastes. So you will have to choose the entrance of the Fourth Ridge or the closest alternative Old Industrial District, on the upper level, northwest of the Midorl bridge. Make your way through the complex from the industry district and past the random monsters. Simply head to the entrance of the Fourth Ridge.
When you can access the Skip Travel point, you will have to head southwest towards the Salvage Point, trying to avoid the level 80 monsters. Already at the recovery point, you will have to use Rex to save and summon Gluttonus Marrin.
If you want to increase your chances of getting Gluttonus Marrin back, you'll need to use normal cylinders, fail all quick-time events, and unequip any sword with the Salvaging Mastery field ability.
Gluttonus Marrin, is a giant floating fish, which you must eliminate to get the Lucky Core Crystal as a reward.
