Step 1: Finding the Fisherman and Learning the Basics

Your journey to flight begins early in the game within the first major region. Head to the designated pond area, where you will find a key NPC: the fisherman. Many players encounter him naturally through the main story, but if you've missed him, this is your destination.Speak with the fisherman, and he will introduce you to the fundamentals of wind walking, a foundational martial arts technique. To prove your aptitude, he will initiate a simple platforming trial.

Step 2: Completing the Fisherman's Platforming Trial

The trial itself is a test of your basic mobility. You will need to navigate a series of floating pots using your double or triple jump ability. The key is to land on them in the correct sequence. Don't be discouraged if you fall—the challenge is forgiving and will respawn you on the last pot you successfully landed on.Upon completion, the fisherman will reward you with a special training booklet. Reading this immediately grants you the base Meteor Flight skill. You can now activate this ability to glide through the air, covering horizontal distances with ease.

Step 3: Achieving Full, Fall-Damage-Free Meteor Flight

Here’s the crucial part many players overlook: the initial Meteor Flight skill does not prevent fall damage. To leap from great heights and glide safely to the ground, you must acquire a specific item: the Afterglow Pendant.To earn this pendant, you must increase your Regional Progress to Level 4, which requires accumulating 4,000 Discovery Points. • Activating Fast Travel points.
• Completing "Blue Book" side quests.
• Collecting curiosities and lore items.

Step 4: Finalizing Your Aerial Freedom
