Before we dive into the steps, let's understand why this ability is so sought-after. Fivefold Bleed provides a consistent chance to apply the "Weeping Blood" debuff with every attack. Once an enemy reaches five stacks, the effect detonates for a significant burst of Piercing Damage, shredding through their health bar. It's a versatile tool that enhances any combat build.

Initiating "A Faltering Flame" Quest

Your journey begins in the central city of Kaifeng. You must first gain access to the Grand Imperial Temple, a prominent structure distinguished by its iconic red walls and vibrant emerald-green tiled roofs.Inside, you will meet the Lamp-lighting Monk, who gives you the "A Faltering Flame" exploration quest. His task is simple but time-gated: find three of his lost companions and bring them back to the shrine.Important Note: The three monks appear on separate in-game days. After finding one, use the world clock to fast-forward to the next day to continue your search. Their spawns are random, so be prepared to check all potential locations.

Step-by-Step: Finding the Three Monks

1. Benevolent Li

• After exiting the shrine, head towards the building directly opposite andturn left. You will find Benevolent Li standing near a large tree.
• He will present you with a riddle. To successfully recruit him, choose the following dialogue options in order:
  • "You thanked the Lamp Monk."
  • "He wants you to turn back."
• Return to the shrine and help him light his lamp by solving the sliding block puzzle.

2. Mingniang

• The second monk, Mingniang, is located in the building to the left of theshrine's exit. Look for a blind NPC near the front entrance.
• She requires no riddle and will agree to return to the shrine after a brief conversation.
• Back at the shrine, assist her with a slightly more complex two-lamp puzzle to ignite the second light.

3. Deng Santong

• The final monk can be found near the first location. Head back to thebuilding opposite the shrine and look for Deng Santong at the top of astaircase.
• His dialogue is short, but he won't go quietly. After speaking with him, he will challenge you to a duel. Defeat him in combat to proceed.
• The final lamp-lighting puzzle involves two connected lamps, but is straightforward to solve.

Claiming Your Fivefold Bleed Tome Reward

Completing the lamp-lighting ceremonies doesn't automatically place the Tome inyour inventory. To claim your hard-earned prize, follow these steps:

Open the main menu and navigate to the Journal.

Select the Story tab and find the "Wandering Tales" section.

Locate and select "Fairgrounds Part 10."

Press the "Claim" button to receive your rewards, which include the Fivefold Bleed Tome, Echo Jade, currency, and experience.
