How To Unlock the Drifter in Risk of Rain 2 Alloyed Collective

The Drifter stands out as a powerful and unique addition to the survivor roster in the Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective expansion. However, unlike other characters, she isn't granted automatically and requires players to complete a specific endgame sequence. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to find and liberate the Drifter, adding her to your selection of playable heroes.Prerequisite: You must personally own the Alloyed Collective expansion to unlock the Drifter. Joining a multiplayer game hosted by a friend who owns the DLC will not grant you access.

Step-by-Step Unlock Guide

Defeat the Solus Wing Boss
Your first and most significant hurdle is conquering the expansion's final boss, the Solus Wing. This encounter is notoriously challenging, so consider starting on the "Drizzle" difficulty setting to make the fight more manageable. Your goal is to deplete the boss's health bar completely.

Locate the Solus Coffers
After the Solus Wing is defeated, the arena transforms into the Solutional Haunt. Ignore the main portal that appears and instead use the zip lines to navigate to the higher platforms. Here, you will find the remains of two Alloyed units known as Solus Coffers. Interact with each one to obtain a Prison Matrix.

• Pro Tip: Each time you collect a Prison Matrix, a wave of enemies will spawn. Be prepared to defend yourself immediately after grabbing each one.

Free the Drifter from the Vault
Once you possess both Prison Matrixes, return to the ground level of thearena. You will find a sealed Vault. Use the first Prison Matrix to open the Vault door. Inside, interact with the Drifter's containment unitand use the second Prison Matrix to break her free.

Upon successfully completing these steps, you will see an on-screennotification confirming the "Lost in Transit" challenge is complete. The Drifter will be permanently available on your character selectionscreen for all future runs.

Drifter gameplay Overview: The Master Scavenger

The Drifter’s gameplay loop revolves around collecting and utilizing Item Scrap and Junk to empower herself and control the battlefield.

• Passive: Trash to Treasure - This ability allows the Drifter to recycle items into Item Scrap,granting her stackable buffs for carrying them. She turns literalgarbage into power.
• Primary: Blunt Force - A three-hit melee combo where the final strike deals massive damageand stuns enemies. This attack also has a chance to generate Junk.
• Utility: Repossess - A dynamic ability that lets the Drifter leap forward and bag an enemy or interactable object. She can then throw the captured target, dealing damage upon impact.
• Secondary: Junk Cube - Slam a giant cube down for significant area damage. You can even hitthe cube to launch it, causing it to bounce between enemies beforedetonating in a powerful explosion. Consuming Junk can reset itscooldown.
• Special: Salvage - By spending eight units of Junk, the Drifter can temporarily spawnfour random items, giving her a powerful, on-demand power spike.
