Venture into the serene yet somber landscapes of Qinghe in Where Winds Meet to undertake the "Blind to the World" side quest. This enchanting narrative focuses on environmental puzzles and exploration over combat, offering a poignant story and valuable rewards. If you're struggling to navigate the hidden sanctuary and aid Uncle Tian, this step-by-step guide will lead you to success.
1. Draining the Lake & Finding the Entrance
Your journey begins with Uncle Tian by a lake near Moonveil Mountain. To reveal the hidden cave, you must drain the lake.
- Dive and Discover: Jump into the water and dive to the bottom. You will find a central stone plate with three chains extending from it.
- Follow the Chains: Swim along each chain to locate a drainage mechanism at its end.
- Activate the Levers: Interact with the lever at all three mechanisms. Once the last one is activated, the lake will dramatically drain away, revealing a muddy basin and the entrance to the cave.
2. Solving the Blind Girl's Statue Puzzle
With the lake drained, descend into the basin and approach the large statue of a blindfolded woman. Speaking with Uncle Tian will trigger the puzzle.
- Understand the Riddle: The key is in the riddle provided to Uncle Tian, which points to the cardinal directions: North, East, South, and West.
- Step on the Plates: Stone plates around the statue will light up. You must step on them in the correct order based on the riddle. Start with the plate directly behind the statue (North), then proceed clockwise to the East, South, and West plates.
- Gain Entry: Successfully completing the sequence will open the stone door to the secret sanctuary.
3. Navigating Traps and the Broken Bridge
The path forward is fraught with danger and requires careful navigation.
Donate: buy me a coffee- Disable Arrow Traps: In the initial corridor, you'll find arrow traps blocked by ribbons. Use Fire Arrows to burn the ribbons and safely deactivate the traps.
- Find the Alternate Path: You will soon reach a large cave with a broken bridge. Instead oftrying to cross, look for a narrow, linear path along the cave's edge.Follow this path until you reach a waterway you must swim through.
- Beware the Moonlit Flowers: In this section, avoid the glowing blue Moonlit Flowers. Contact with them will temporarily blind your character. If you areblinded while underwater, a faintly lit path will appear, guiding you to the surface for air.
4. Unlocking the Final Stone Gate
After swimming through the underwater passage, you'll find your path blocked by a final stone gate.
- Locate the Pedestal: Climb to the high ground opposite the gate to find an interactable pedestal.
- Memorize the Bell Sequence: Activating the pedestal will cause a sequence of bells to ring. Pay close attention to the order.
- Shoot the Symbols: Symbols above the gate will light up. Using your bow, shoot these symbols in the exact order the corresponding bells rang. You will need to successfully complete this sequence twice for the gate to open.
5. A Gift for the Lunar Goddess
Beyond the gate, you'll discover the abode of Li Zhenzhen, the "LunarGoddess." Uncle Tian's task is to replace her eyes, but she refuses.
- Descend to Her Quarters: Find your way down to Li Zhenzhen's living space below the main platform.
- Collect the Offerings: Here, you can pluck the Moonlit Flower. Also, pick up the Small Blade from a nearby table; both are key quest items.
- Make Your Choice: Return to the Lunar Goddess above. You can offer her either the Moonlit Flower or the Small Blade. Your choice may influence the narrative outcome, but for the purposesof completing the quest, either will work. Offering the item triggers aconcluding cutscene.
- Exit the Sanctuary: To leave, return to Li Zhenzhen's quarters and look for a crack in the wall to squeeze through.
