How to Beat Gergoth to Unlock Soma Cruz in Vampire Survivors
Defeating Gergoth on the Ode to Castlevania map as Julius Belmont is the only way to unlock Soma Cruz in Vampire Survivors. If you want to know how to go to Gergoth quickly, you can use the map up there or read on for detailed instructions.
You can reach the Scorpion Gate by loading into Ode to Castlevania as Julius, heading southwest into the church, then using the teleporter twice. Go north until you reach the very top of the map once you exit the portal room. To reach the Alchemy Lab, head down the small hallway and through the red gate.
Follow the straight path in the Alchemy Lab until you reach the Grand Library. Get to the end of the hall on the east side, and then descend into the hall on the other side. Go west for a while, then descend into the last corridor and turn east. After navigating the library's labyrinth, continue south to reach the new section.
Navigate the straight corridor that lies beneath the library. To summon Gergoth, look for the first red symbol in the region. To get Soma Cruz, you have to step on the symbol and beat the armless (but dangerous) monster.
After you defeat Gergoth as Julius, you'll be able to purchase Soma Cruz from the Character Selection menu. After you've unlocked an item in Vampire Survivors, you have the option to continue your run or return to the main menu without risk.
Combat abilities, leveling up, and passive bonuses for Soma Cruz
Soma Cruz, a formidable warrior wielding a Hand Grenade, possesses a unique passive ability. He steadily gains power, accumulating +1% Might with each level, and is impervious to health-draining effects. His most extraordinary trait is his capacity for Soul Steal, a life-saving ability that triggers once per life, reviving him after a fatal blow. By combining his maxed-out Hand Grenade with a maxed-out Candelabrador, he can evolve his weapon into the devastating RPG, a testament to his strength and strategic prowess, hailing from the realm of Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
You may transform Soma Cruz's Hand Grenade into The RPG (it's true) by combining it with Candelabrador, her initial weapon. Once the Hand Grenade reaches Level 7, it becomes a permanent part of every character's arsenal.
