The Claw Machine mini-game is a random event that occurs during Recreational Outings in a trainee's Career playthrough. It is notoriously tricky to trigger and master, making the mission a test of patience and precision.

1. Triggering the Claw Machine Event:

• Reach Classic Years (Year 2): The Claw Machine mini-game can only appear starting from a trainee's Classic (Year 2) period. It can occur once per year in Year 2 and Year 3 (Senior Year).
• Go on Recreational Outings: To increase your chances of encountering the mini-game, frequently select the "Recreation" option (the bottom-middle option during training). Spamming outings is the most reliable way to trigger it.
• Choose the Right Trainee: Characters with tight racing schedules, like Sakura Bakushin O, Gold Ship, and Daiwa Scarlet, might make this mission difficult due to limited free turns for outings.
  • Haru Urara is highly recommended for this mission. Her career path in the Classic years often includes multiple fan-building goals rather than strict race deadlines. This provides ample turns to repeatedly take Recreational Outings and increase the likelihood of the Claw Machine appearing.
  • Haru Urara's Classic years begin after the Junior period (July to January) and after clearing the "Junior Make Debut" race. Once in Classic Year, focus on "Recreation" visits.

2. Balancing Outings and Goals:

• While trying to trigger the Claw Machine, remember to stillwork towards your trainee's career goals, especially fan-buildingobjectives. For instance, Haru Urara's next goal after her debut race is often to gain 5,000 fans.
• If you solely focus on outings and neglect races that award fans, your trainee's career might endprematurely, preventing you from completing the mission. It's a balanceof increasing fan count through races and taking outings.

3. Playing the Claw Machine Mini-Game:

• Once the mini-game appears, your objective is to grab at least three plushies in a single round. You only get three tries per round. If you fail to get three plushies or miss all your attempts, the game ends, and you'll have to wait for it to randomly appear againin a future training turn (or in a subsequent year).
