You will be introduced to the fast travel system by helping Shirli repair the broken Spacerift in Astra, the starting area of the game. Shirli will use the rift to teleport to another area and come back to try it out, but you can only use it when there are at least two points unlocked.

At one point in the game, you will find the map, necessary for fast travel. You will be able to access it by pressing the M key if you are on PC, to select Spacerifts which are shaped like warp pads to teleport to.

In order to teleport to a Spacerift, you will first need to unlock it. There will always be one that you helped fix available, but to unlock the others, you'll need to go to where they are to interact with them.

You will be able to find the inactive and active Spacerifts on the map.
