The option to rebind keys is, not surprisingly, available in the main menu, under the Settings tab. Herein, players will be able to access the Shortcuts tab. All the various types of actions, and the shortcuts that have already been mapped to them, will be shown to the players. They can also see the mini trash can icons next to them, through which they can remove currently bound shortcuts. In order to change any existing shortcut, they just need to click on that particular key and are allowed to replace it here with a new key binding.

Another would be the toggling between Classic and Action mode. That could potentially help the players find what they are searching for.

Changing Key Binds on Console

The game is cross-platform, and the same PC and console parts are identical; however, the controller binds are in a different place than the mouse and keyboard binds. This means console players will have to take a different route. Once in the menu and inside the settings, they need to head to the Controller tab. There, under the preset buttons of the controller, they'll have two choices: Default and Custom. They should choose Custom, which will display all key bindings within the game. In order to edit a building, go toward the building and tap X for PlayStation and A for Xbox.

It is now possible to set up the action to activate with the single click of a button or by pressing and holding two buttons at once. The game will pop up a dialogue informing you which bindings will be removed should you select an in-use button or combination of buttons. The player will then be offered a menu to confirm or reject the new changes.

For those who are more accustomed to a mouse, enabling it is still an option for console players.

Why Should You Change The Key Bindings?

For some, the default bindings can be real annoying and get them complaining about stuff they had nothing to do with. By rebinding the most intuitive buttons and/or controller settings to the player's interaction with the game, they can really lessen the chances of a mistake.

Another reason is that, contrary to what was said above, players may feel that their personal bindings actually allow them to play the game more effectively. Whereas a minority of players might think of a better use for this particular button, the majority of them most likely wouldn't dream of changing how their assigned Dash Morph is activated.
