To start, click on the bed and select "Sleep" or "Nap." If your Sim is already asleep, you can skip this step. Then, wait until your Sim lies down and isn't snoozing yet. Once they're settled in, click on the opposite side of the bed and select "Sleep" or "Nap" again. If you're quick enough, your Sim should move to the other side of the bed before dozing off.
However, if your Sim isn't shifting, don't panic. Here are a few tips to help you get them scooting over:
- Make sure your Sim is really tired: the sleepier they are, the more likely they'll move. If your Sim isn't tired enough, try putting them to bed earlier or having them take a nap.
- Provide enough space for your Sim to move around: If the bed is placed too close to a wall, it could be difficult for them to switch sides. Try setting it in an open area to see if that helps.
- Try activating the "Push" command: Click on the bed and select the "Push" action. Your Sim will then automatically scoot over to the other side.
Finally, if your Sim still isn't moving, try saving and exiting the game, then reloading it. This will often reload the game in an alternate state and could potentially fix the issue.
If you're having trouble getting your Sims to scoot over in bed, don't worry. There are a few things you can try to make sure that your Sim has enough room to scoot over.
