However, the chest isn't immediately accessible and requires specific progression.This quick guide will walk you through how to unlock the mysterious Bar 99 chest, including initiating the correct side quest, obtaining the passcode, and discovering the valuable contents within.

Stellar Blade: How to Unlock the Bar 99 Chest

You might have encountered Bar 99 early in your exploration of Eidos 7. While the chest inside is visible, its keypad won't even allow you to input a code until you meet certain conditions.

How to Get the Passcode

To obtain the passcode for the Bar 99 chest, you need to complete a specific side mission called Legion's Secret Stash. This quest isn't available from the beginning of the game.

Main Story Progression: First, continue progressing through the main story until you have finished your mission in Altess Levoire. This is a key story beat that unlocks new content.

Return to Xion: After completing Altess Levoire, make your way back to Xion.

Check the Quest Board: Head to the quest board (bulletin board), which is located next to Roxanne. After completing Altess Levoire, it should have new tasks available, including Legion's Secret Stash.

• Pro Tip: If the quest isn't showing up immediately, try completing any otherpending side quests or requests from the bulletin board. Sometimes,clearing existing tasks is necessary before new options appear.

Accept the Quest and Talk to Adam: Once the "Legion's Secret Stash" mission becomes available, grab it from the board and then talk to Adam to proceed with the quest. You'll be instructed to return to Eidos 7.

Back at Eidos 7...

Once you have the "Legion's Secret Stash" quest active:

Return to Bar 99: Use Adam's ship to fast travel back to Eidos 7. Make your way to Bar99, which is located near the broken bridge (often encountered early inSilent Street).

Clear the Area: Before rushing into the bar, scan the area with your drone. There's typically an enemy nearby waiting to ambush you – take care ofthem first. Inside the bar, be prepared for another tricky opponent whohas a habit of vanishing mid-fight, so stay vigilant. Clear out allhostile threats in the building.

Locate the Body and Code: After you've cleared the place out, use your drone again to scan the interior. You should spot a body and the locked chest.

Interact with the Body: Interact with the body to uncover the passcode. The code for the Bar 99 chest is 1228.

• Note: While some older guides might list 1221, current consensus and in-game findings indicate the correct code is 1228.

Unlock the Chest: Approach the chest and input the code 1228 to unlock it.
