Once you have your chickens, you'll need to feed them with Hay. Hay can be purchased from Marnie for 50 gold per piece, or you can harvest it from grass on your farm with a Scythe. If you wait until the grass has grown as much as possible, you can get more hay for free.

The hay can then be placed in the Feeding Bench at the Coop, and each piece of hay will feed one chicken. Once the chickens are fed and happy, they will produce eggs which can be collected from the Coop. The quality of the eggs depends on how happy the chickens are.
