Learn how to craft the Wedding Ring in Stardew Valley with our step-by-step guide. Enhance your gameplay and celebrate love in the game!
While building a thriving farm with friends in Stardew Valley is rewarding in itself, the bonds you forge can extend beyond mere companionship. Just as your farmer can develop romantic relationships with the villagers, multiplayer offers the heartwarming option of in-game marriage between players. All you need to seal the deal is a
Wedding Ring.
How To Get A Wedding Ring in Stardew Valley:
Unlike the real world, acquiring a Wedding Ring in Stardew Valley isn't as simple as a trip to the local jeweler. You'll need to put in a little effort to craft one yourself.
Purchase the Recipe from the Traveling Cart: The recipe for the Wedding Ring can only be purchased from the Traveling Cart. This elusive cart sets up shop in the Cindersap Forest every Friday and Sunday. Keep an eye out for it just south of your farm! The recipe itself costs 500 gold. Gather the Crafting Materials: Once you've obtained the recipe, you'll need the following rare and valuable materials to craft the Wedding Ring: - 5 Iridium Bars: Iridium Ore is found in the deeper levels of the Skull Cavern (often requiring bombs or a powerful pickaxe to mine effectively) and can be smelted into bars using a Furnace.
- 1 Prismatic Shard: This incredibly rare gem can be found in various ways, including breaking geodes (Omni Geodes have the highest chance), mining in the Skull Cavern, or as a rare drop from certain monsters.
How To Use The Wedding Ring in Stardew Valley:
The Wedding Ring has a singular, specific purpose:
- Marrying Another Player: This ring is exclusively used for proposing marriage to another player in a multiplayer Stardew Valley game. You cannot use it to marry any of the NPC villagers in the Valley.
- The Proposal: To propose to a fellow player:
- Select the Wedding Ring in your inventory.
- Interact (right-click by default) with the player you wish to marry.
- They will then be presented with the option to accept or refuse your proposal.
- The Wedding Ceremony: If your proposal is accepted, the wedding ceremony will take place 3 in-game days after the proposal. Make sure you and your partner are both present on that day!
- Not Reusable: The Wedding Ring is a one-time use item. Once you propose (whether accepted or refused), the ring is consumed.
- No Additional Bonuses: While the Wedding Ring can be equipped in an accessory slot like other rings in Stardew Valley, it does not provide any additional stat bonuses to the player. It is purely a symbolic item for marriage.
- Selling: Similar toother rings, the Wedding Ring can be sold for gold at the Adventurer'sGuild if you happen to have an extra one (though this is unlikely giventhe rare crafting materials).
- Not a Gift for NPCs: Wedding Rings cannot be given as gifts to any of the non-player characters in Stardew Valley.
Marrying an NPC in Single Player:
It's important to note that marrying an NPC villager in a single-player game requires a different item: the Mermaid's Pendant. This is purchased from the Old Mariner on the beach on a rainy day for 5,000 gold after you have reached 10 hearts with a marriageable villager and have upgraded your house at least once.
So, if you're ready to take your farm partnership to a romantic level, keep an eye on the Traveling Cart, delve into the Skull Cavern for Iridiumand Prismatic Shards, and prepare to craft a Wedding Ring to propose toyour beloved co-farmer! May your in-game marriage be filled with sharedharvests and happy times.
