The Ice Pip is a rare and visually striking fish in Stardew Valley, easily recognizable by its pale blue body with darker blue markings. While not the most common catch, understanding where to find it and its various uses can be quite beneficial. Here's everything you need to know about the Ice Pip.

Stardew Valley: Where To Catch Ice Pip

Unlike many other fish that can be found in various locations around the Valley, the Ice Pip has a very specific habitat:
  • The Mines - Level 60: Ice Pips exclusively thrive in the cold depths of The Mines, specifically on Level 60. You won't find them in the rivers, the ocean, the mountain lake, or any other fishing spot.
  • No Time or Weather Constraints: Fortunately, there are no specific time of day or weather conditions required to catch an Ice Pip on Level 60. You can fish for them at any time during all four seasons in Stardew Valley.
  • Mine Preparations: Since you'll be venturing into the Mines, it's crucial to be prepared for potential dangers. Ensure you have decent weapons equipped and are ready to face any monsters you might encounter while fishing on Level 60.
  • Ice Pip Bait (Purchase): Interestingly, you can purchase Ice Pip Bait from Willy's Fish Shop during the Summer and Winter seasons. While the primary location for catching Ice Pips is Level 60 of the Mines, this specialized bait might increase your chances of hooking one there, or potentially have other uses related to Fish Ponds (explained later).

Uses of Ice Pip in Stardew Valley:

Despite their rarity, Ice Pips don'tmake ideal gifts for the residents of Stardew Valley. However, they have other valuable uses:
