There are a total of 18 Collection Keys to discover in each of Sonic X Shadow Generations' seven Shadow Stages, with the exception of the last stage, which only includes 6. Find every key in White Space if you want to open the various chests hidden across the map.
Each stage's Act contains three of these Keys, while each stage's Challenge Missions contain the other twelve. Unlike Space Colony Ark, Sonic X Shadow Generations' second stage, Rail Canyon, does a far better job at concealing some of its Collection Keys. Find out where to look for each of the 18 of them with the help of this guide.
The first act of Rail Canyon is a mad dash across the railroad tracks to reach Eggman's base. If you're still having trouble getting all the collection keys in this area, you might want to come back to this guide after you've gotten your hands on Doom Wings.
The First Act of Rail Canyon in Sonic X: Shadow Generations and How to Get the Green Collection Key
During the rail segment at the beginning of the act, you may easily find the first Collection Key at the end of the rightmost rail. Stay to your right as you glide along the first set of rails, and you'll pass it effortlessly.
Secrets to Unlocking Sonic X Shadow Generations' Blue Collection Key in Act 1 of Rail Canyon
With a little more configuration, you can get to the Blue Collection Key—which is best accessed with the Doom Wings. To get an item that restores your Chaos Control Meter, remain in the center of the rails as depicted in the first image up there. In order to prevent the approaching attackers from destroying any rails, use it immediately after grabbing the item. Then, climb upon the rail on either the left or the right to launch yourself into the air. You can then proceed to the rail in image 2 and ride it till another rail shows up to your left.
A Boost Ring is accessible via that rail. Just as you're about to plummet, activate the Doom Wings to stop your descent and swiftly glide upward to reach the top of a tunnel. This is where you may find the Blue Collection Key.
You can find the last Collection Key for this level near the Goal Ring. As indicated in Image 1, begin by ensuring that you are on the far left or far right rail of the grinding area. Then, get off the rails at the end of the next train-dodging sequence and into the air. The Yellow Collection Key lies on one of the rooftops, so you'll need to land on top of the hangars you're plummeting towards. Once you've landed, grab it, and then use the rooftop to easily reach the exit.
Secrets to Unlocking Sonic X Shadow Generations' Rail Canyon Act 2's Key Collection
The Collection Keys in Rail Canyon Act 2 are somewhat easier to obtain, though you will still require the strategic application of Chaos Control to reach a portion of them.
After the level begins, you must always follow the highest accessible route until you reach the switch displayed above in order to earn the first Collection Key. If you jump into it, a rail line will be created that will lead you directly to the Collection Key.
Secrets to Unlocking Sonic X Shadow Generations' Blue Collection Key in Act 2 of Rail Canyon
Reach the area in Image 1 and climb the destructible scaffolding to the top (use Chaos Control to prevent it from being broken before you reach the top, if needed) to receive this Collection Key. Pressing this area's boost ring will immediately transport you to the Blue Collection Key.
When you get to the part indicated in image 1, as long as your Chaos Control bar is full, the Green Collection Key is incredibly easy. Jump to the top level of the scaffolding and use the grind rail to reach it; after you use Chaos Control to stop the train, there will be nothing to knock down the scaffolding.
You can locate collection keys in four of Rail Canyon's challenges; here's a rundown of where to look for each key.
Rail Canyon Act 1 Challenge 1: Aim and Fire with Chaos Spear: How to Get the Collection Keys!
You may find the yellow collection key sitting on the ground right along the main walkway, immediately before the enormous fans, as pictured above. It is the first key in this sector.
Head upwards and strike the boost ring above the structure to reach the second collection key using the fans. Once you've landed, continue straight ahead to locate a Blue Collection Key.
Once you've used the zipline in picture 1, you'll find the Third Collection Key along the grind rails. Following the zipline, carefully navigate the rails and make a jump to reach the rail depicted in figure 2. This task demands exact timing and is easy to overlook, so exercise caution. Follow this rail to reach a blue collection key.
Hit the grind rail in image 1 to access the first Collection Key. Then, leap at the end to reach the boost ring, which will put you on top of the tunnel. Jump over the adversaries in image 2 using the spring on the far side to get to the platform. To get to the platform with the yellow collection key, use a Chaos Spear on the purple monster. Then, use them to bounce over. Due to the uneven floor, you must act swiftly to secure it before using the spring.
In order to obtain the second Collection Key, proceed to the grind rail portion immediately preceding the goal ring, navigate to the rail on the right, and then leap through the boost ring holding the Blue Collection Key. In order to access the last key, you must now complete the level and then restart it.
Rather than using the boost ring shortcut that goes onto the tunnel's top, you should go through the tunnel this time. Once you get to the grinding portion (picture 1), continue playing the level normally. A little distance into the section, near the rightmost rail, you'll find the Blue Collection Key.
If you continue through the level until you reach the part with the crumbling scaffolding, you will find the Yellow Challenge Key. Climb to the top and look left; a Yellow Collection Key is floating there; use Chaos Control to prevent it from falling. Take it with you and go forward.
Upon reaching further scaffolding in the following segment, use Chaos Control to immobilize the approaching adversary, preventing it from shattering the scaffolding. Ascend to the peak. Floating at the top is a blue collection key. Take it with you and go on.
By utilizing the boost ring to access an upper path and then continuing it until you reach the part where the key resides, you can obtain the first Collection Key here. The path is illustrated in figure 1 above. From the middle section of scaffolding, you can just jump up to it, or you can utilize the boost rings here to catapult yourself up to it. Obtain the Yellow Collection Key and use it to activate each Boost Ring, which will cause a spring to materialize. Make use of it to exit this region.
To launch upwards, use the shortcut shown in the first image above after using the spring and landing back on a Grind Rail. Using the shortcut shown in the second image, continue along this alternate road until you reach a point where you can ascend to a higher level and then turn left to locate a Blue Collection Key. Grasp it and continue climbing.
Just a little further on, use the homing attack to bounce over the adversaries in image 1, and then use the Boost Ring in image 2 to climb into the enclosed region. Arrange yourself in the first cannon as illustrated in image 3, and then fire into the second gun. You must wait for the third cannon to rise over the boost ring before you can launch yourself into it. At last, pull the trigger on the third cannon by waiting for it to be beneath the Blue Collection Key. We have completed this task.
Now that you know All Collection Keys in Rail Canyon in Sonic X Shadow Generations, you have what you need to continue progressing in this game.
