Located during your second visit to Ebisugaoka, this puzzle requires you to navigate a foggy field by finding the "correct" scarecrow in each section. Your reward for each correct choice is a clue that points you in the direction of the next section. If you pick the wrong scarecrow, it will come to life and attack you.The puzzle's solution changes dramatically depending on the difficulty level you're playing. Silent Hill f: Scarecrow Field Puzzle Solutions for All Difficulties

In all versions of this puzzle, your goal is the same: find the correct scarecrow, remove the needle from its body, and then follow the direction it points to find the next section of the field. This must be done five times to escape the field.

Story Difficulty

On Story difficulty, the clues are the most straightforward. Thecorrect scarecrow in each section will always resemble your character, Hinako. She can be identified by her short hair and a distinct red tie.

• First Scarecrow: The correct scarecrow is on the left side of the field. Look for the one holding a sickle. Remove the needle and follow the direction she points.
• Second Scarecrow: The second scarecrow is found in the middle of the next field. This one is standing with no sickle.
• Third Scarecrow: For the third scarecrow, look on the right side of the field. The correct one will have her head upside down.
• Fourth Scarecrow: The fourth scarecrow is in the middle again. This one has her arms out and is looking sideways.
• Fifth Scarecrow: The final scarecrow is at the back of the field, strung up as if on a cross. Once you remove the needle, it will point you to the exit.

Hard Difficulty

The Hard difficulty version of this puzzle is more complex. The correctscarecrow is tied to specific visual clues and hints that referenceHinako's friends and the relationships between them.

• First Scarecrow: This scarecrow is found behind and to the left of your starting position. The clue is, "Can you even imagine how I feel? I'll put on my polite smile for now." Look for the only scarecrow with a forced smile on her face.
• Second Scarecrow: The second scarecrow is in the middle of the field. The clue is, "Can you even imagine how I feel? What it's like to have been deceived by you for so long?" Look for the scarecrow that has a sickle in its back, like it has been "backstabbed."
• Third Scarecrow: The third scarecrow is in the back, bending backward. The clue is, "He never once looked at me the way he looked at you. Not once." Look for a group of male and female scarecrows who are paired off andlooking at each other. Find the one female scarecrow who is staring at a boy whose back is turned.
• Fourth Scarecrow: This scarecrow is on the right side of the field. The clue is, "You've always been such an eyesore." Find the scarecrow that looks unhappy and has its neck craned to the side, as if it is trying to avoid looking at something.
• Fifth Scarecrow: The final scarecrow is in the middle back of the field and is crucified. The clue is, "You hurt me, and even hurt him, too. Do you know how it feels to force asmile when I'm staring at that disgusting face of yours?!" Look for the scarecrow that has a weapon in its back but is also smiling with its head down.

Lost in the Fog Difficulty

Lost in the Fog is the trickiest version of the puzzle, often requiring youto pay attention to subtle environmental and visual clues rather thanexplicit hints.

• First Scarecrow: The first scarecrow is to the left of where you begin. Its head is upside down.
• Second Scarecrow: This scarecrow is at the back of the field, hanging like it is on a cross, but the sickle is stuck in the ground at her feet. The clue is, "Good riddance. It feels as though I finally got this painful burden off my chest." The key word here is "burden," and the sickle in the ground represents a "burden" that has been dropped.
• Third Scarecrow: The third scarecrow is behind the corpse of a fallen scarecrow. This one is not holding a sickle and is facing away from the boy. The clue is, "You hurt him, and now you're leaving him behind." Look for a boy scarecrow on the ground with a knife in its chest andthe female scarecrow who has no knife and is facing away from him.
• Fourth Scarecrow: This scarecrow is in the middle of the field, standing between Shu and Rinko, who are looking at each other. The clue is, "You were such a thorn in my side. Always getting between me and him." Find the scarecrow that is positioned between the two who are looking at each other.
• Fifth Scarecrow: The final scarecrow is hidden. There will be four corpses lying in thefield. Follow the direction their arms are pointing, and you will find a lone scarecrow at the end of their pointed path.
