How to Find the Key to Sakuko's Mailbox in Silent Hill f

In Silent Hill f, the world is teeming with secrets and hidden collectibles that can provide valuable lore and helpful resources. Many of these secrets are not in plain sight and require players to explore off the beaten path. One such secret involves finding the key to a locked mailbox and unlocking the contents within.This guide will show you exactly where to find the key to Sakuko's mailbox and where to use it to claim a powerful charm and a new piece of the story. It is highly recommended that you complete this objective as soon as you get the key, as certain paths may become inaccessible as you progress through the main story.

How to Find the Key to Sakuko's Mailbox

The key to Sakuko's mailbox is found during your second visit to Ebisugaoka. Your main objective at this point is to go to Rinko's house, but you'll need to take a slight detour to find the key.

Head North from Rinko's House: Instead of taking the path to Rinko's house, which is located on the far right of the map, you need to head north towards the Sennensugi Shrine.

Go to the Top of the Shrine: Make your way to the top of the shrine. This area is relatively safe, and you should not encounter any enemies on your way up.

Locate the Key: Once you are at the top, look to the left. You will find the Key to Sakuko's Mailbox lying next to a Letter from Sakuko's Mother. The letter provides a small piece of lore, hinting at a mysterious presence in their lives and warning her not to talk about the strange voices she's been hearing.

Where to Use the Key (Igarashi Residence's Mailbox)

Once you have the key, you will need to backtrack to the beginning of the Ebisugaoka area to use it. This will require you to go past enemies you may have cleared out earlier, so be cautious.

Backtrack to the Start: Return to the Hokora save point.

Follow the Road: From the Hokora, follow the main road and take the first left turn.

Go to the General Store: At the end of that path, take a right and keep going until you reach the Chizuruya General Store.

Find the Igarashi Residence: Take a right again and follow this path to reach the area outside Sakuko's house, which is the Igarashi Residence.

Unlock the Mailbox: There may be multiple enemies around the mailbox, but you can dodgetheir attacks and quickly interact with it. Using the key will unlockthe mailbox, and you will receive two valuable items:

• Letter from the Hospital: A lore document that provides more insight into the story.
• Omamori [Spider]: This is a very useful charm that greatly decreases weapon durabilityconsumption when you perform Light Attacks. Since most of the weaponsyou find in the game have limited durability, this charm is incrediblyhelpful for preserving your arsenal.
