How to start the Dog Days quest in RS: Dragonwilds:

  • Meet Vannaka in the Stormtouched Highlands: Head to the central region of the Stormtouched Highlands. You'll easily spot Vannaka stationed at a campsite.
  • Initiate the Quest: Approach Vannaka and speak with him. He will ask for your assistance in searching for a Garou camp located "beneath giant wyvern bones." This task will aid his research into the Garou's ritual practices, a topic deeply connected to his family's history with these formidable foes.
  • Optional: Gather Dragon Tooth: Before venturing to the Garou camp, consider exploring more of the Stormtouched Highlands to find the rare Dragon Tooth. This item is crucial for the final Primary Quest of the game, and collecting it now will save you a trip later on.

    • How to complete the Dog Days quest in RS: Dragonwilds:

  • Continue Speaking with Vannaka (Optional): You can engage in further conversation with Vannaka to delve deeperinto his fascination with Garou rituals and gain more context for theDog Days quest.
  • Locate the Garou Camp: If you're ready to proceed, the first key location is nearby. Head towards the west side of Vannaka's starting location. You will discover the Garou camp nestled underneath a set of large wyvern bones.
  • Find the Ritual of Purification Book: Within the Garou camp, search for a book titled "Ritual of Purification." This book will be located on top of a crate.
  • Read the Book: Interact with the "Ritual of Purification" book and read its contents. This will reveal the location of the Garou King, whom you must defeat to progress further in the Dog Days quest.


    • How to find and defeat the Garou King:

  • Locate the Garou King's Fortress: The Garou King can be found at the summit of the fortress located in the Stormtouched Highlands. This location should be marked on your map after reading the "Ritual of Purification" book.
  • Cross the Broken Bridge: To reach the fortress summit, you will need to cross a broken bridge. Utilize the Windstep spell (which grants higher jumps) to successfully traverse the gap.
  • Establish a Lodestone (Highly Recommended): Once you've crossed the broken bridge, it is highly advisable to place a Lodestone nearby. This will provide a valuable fast travel point, as the area ispopulated with numerous enemies, and you may face death multiple times.
  • Ascend to the Summit: Navigate through the fortress, battling any enemies you encounter along the way. Your goal is to reach the very top of this domain where theGarou King awaits.
  • Engage the Garou King: Be prepared for a challenging encounter. The Garou King is a Level 5 difficulty boss, so ensure you are equipped with high-tier gear and weapons.   • Collect the King's Token: After defeating the Garou King, make sure to pick up the King's Token from his fallen body. This is a crucial quest item that you will needto bring back to Vannaka.     • 1 King's Token: You should already have this in your inventory after defeating the Garou King.
  • Locate Lougrim's Shrine: Head to Lougrim's Shrine, which is located across from King Garou's fortress.
  • Perform the Ritual: Interact with Lougrim's Shrine. You will see an option to "Perform the Ritual of Purification." Select this option.
  • Receive the Purified King's Totem: Successfully completing the ritual will reward you with the "Purified King's Totem."

  • Return to Vannaka: Travel back to Vannaka's campsite in the Stormtouched Highlands.
  • Give Him the Purified Token: Speak with Vannaka and give him the Purified King's Totem.
  • Receive Your Reward: Vannaka will reward you with the "Garou Highborn's Cloak," completing the Dog Days quest. This piece of gear offers +2 Melee Damage, Ranged Defence, and Magic Defence, providing similar benefits to the cloak obtained from the Goblin Diplomacy mission.
