As you progress through RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you'll move beyond basic resources and refined materials like Coarse Thread and Bronze Bars to more advanced components like Wool Thread. This finer thread is crucial for building the Loom and unlocking the recipe for Padded Cloth, expanding your gear options. This guide will detail how to obtain the necessary materials and craft Wool Thread.

RuneScape Dragonwilds: craft Wool Thread

Crafting Wool Thread requires two specific resources: Fleece and Soft Animal Fur. These are then processed at your Spinning Wheel.
  • Crafting Ratio:
    • Three (3) Soft Animal Fur will yield two (2) Wool Threads.
    • One (1) Fleece will yield one (1) Wool Thread.
  • Obtaining Fleece and Soft Animal Fur: These resources are primarily obtained by hunting creatures in the mid-game regions of Fractured Plains and Stormtouched Highlands.
    • Fleece: Dropped by Sheep and Rams. Both types of creatures frequently spawn throughout the Fractured Plains and Stormtouched Highlands.
    • Soft Animal Fur: Dropped by Wolves, which also commonly inhabit these regions. Be cautious of Garou enemies that may also attack you in these areas.
  • Efficient Farming:
    • Sheep: Sheep are generally the easiest to farm as they are level one creatures and behave similarly to deer. They do not immediately flee when approached, giving you ample time to use ranged attacks or melee weapons.
    • Wolves: While tougher than sheep, wolves have a noticeable delay before their attacks, making them relatively easy to block or dodge. Be cautious when facing multiple wolves simultaneously. Well-timed blocks or magic spells can turn the tide of these encounters.
    • Rams: Rams are even slower than wolves, making them easy targets for ranged attacks, especially if you approach them from a distance. You'll often find sheep near rams, providing an opportunity to farm both Fleece and Soft Animal Fur in the same area.
Overall, gathering Soft Animal Fur and Fleece is manageable once you know where to find the respective creatures and understand their behavior.

How to Use Wool Thread in RuneScape Dragonwilds:

The initial and most important use of Wool Thread is to construct a Loom. You will need the following materials to build this crafting station:

  • Ash Planks (22): Produced at a Sawmill from Ash Logs.
  • Bronze Bar (4): Created by smelting Copper and Tin Ore in a Furnace.
  • Wool Thread (6): Crafted from Fleece and Soft Animal Fur at your Spinning Wheel.

All the necessary materials for the Loom can be found within the regionsbetween Temple Woods and the Fractured Plains, indicating a naturalprogression of resource gathering and crafting.

The Loom's Purpose:

Once you have built a Loom, it unlocks the ability to create Cloth.

  • Wool Cloth: Requires two (2) Wool Threads to produce one piece of Wool Cloth.
  • Rough Cloth: Requires three (3) Coarse Threads to produce one piece of Rough Cloth.

Both Wool Cloth and Rough Cloth are essential components in crafting Padded Cloth after you acquire your first upgrade for the Loom. This signifies thenext tier of crafting and gear progression, allowing you to create moreadvanced armor and equipment.

Byventuring into the Fractured Plains and Stormtouched Highlands to gather Fleece and Soft Animal Fur, you can utilize your Spinning Wheel tocreate Wool Thread, a key ingredient in building the Loom and ultimately unlocking more advanced crafting possibilities in RuneScape:Dragonwilds. Happy crafting!
