Join the battle in Revenge of the Savage Planet and defeat the monstrous Wormzilla! Experience thrilling gameplay and epic challenges.
Wormzilla is the first major boss you'll face in Revenge of the Savage Planet, lurking beneath the sands of the second planet, Xephyr. This massive creature will ambush you with unexpected bursts from the ground. You'll actually battle Wormzilla twice throughout your adventure, with the first encounter being a bit more straightforward than the subsequent ones. Here's a phase-by-phase breakdown of how to conquer this sandy terror:
Revenge of the Savage Planet: Beat Wormzilla
First Encounter: Phase 1 - Electrifying the Beast
Your initial confrontation with Wormzilla occurs before you can reach the Magnetic Fork container deep within Xephyr. You'll first need to upgrade your Water Hose with the Goo Ingestor. Once you enter Wormzilla's arena:
- Evade Fire Breath: Wormzilla's fire breath attack now covers both horizontal and upward directions. Always start moving as soon as the fight begins to avoid getting hit.
- Utilize Ferro Goo: Your primary weapon in this phase is the Ferro Goo. Look around the room for purple plants that contain Ferrous Goo and interact with them to fill your Goo Dispenser. There are also refill dispensers scattered around the arena if you run low.
- Beware Burrowing Attacks: Be cautious! Wormzilla can burrow underground and suddenly erupt beneath your feet, dealing significant damage. Stay aware of the ground and move frequently. It will also attempt to blast you with fire while above ground.
- Create Electrified Trails: Your objective is to draw a path of Ferro Goo from one of the electric mushrooms towards Wormzilla. Aim carefully and create a continuous line.
- Stun and Damage: If Wormzilla steps into the trail of electrified Ferro Goo, it will be instantly stunned, taking a significant chunk of its health. Repeat this process as needed.
- Heal if Necessary: Utilize the healing flowers located around the arena if you take damage during the fight.
- Claim Your Prize: After successfully stunning Wormzilla with the electrified goo multiple times, it will be defeated and drop a crate containing the Magnetic Fork.
Second Encounter: Phase 2 - Inside the Belly of the Beast
Just when you think it's over and you've obtained the Magnetic Fork, Wormzilla will make a dramatic return, swallowing you and the Magnetic Fork whole! You'll now find yourself inside its stomach:
- Time to Use the Mag Fork: This is where the Magnetic Fork comes into play. Look around the inside of Wormzilla's stomach for a large metal crystal located near its mouth.
- Target Weak Points: Use the Magnetic Fork to grab the metal crystal and throw it at Wormzilla's internal weak points. These weak points will likely glow or be visually distinct.
- Three Solid Hits: You will need to successfully land three solid hits with the metal crystal on Wormzilla's weak points.
- Ejection: After hitting the weak points three times, Wormzilla will finally spit you back out into the arena.
Second Encounter: Phase 3 - Crystal Combat
Back in the arena, you'll face Wormzilla for the final time, now equipped with the Magnetic Fork:
- Utilize Metallic Crystal Pillars: Scattered around the arena are the same metallic crystal pillars you encountered inside Wormzilla.
- Grab and Throw: Use the Magnetic Fork to grab these crystal pillars and prepare to throw them at Wormzilla.
- Target the Roaring Weak Point: The key to damaging Wormzilla in this phase is to wait until it opens its mouth to roar. This will expose its weak points. Aim carefully and throw the crystal pillars into its open mouth.
- Repeat for Victory: It will typically take around three or four solid hits with the crystal pillars to finally bring Wormzilla down for good.
- Electrified Goo as a Backup: If you're struggling to land direct hits, you can still utilize the electrified Ferro Goo strategy from the first encounter to briefly stun Wormzilla, giving you a window to launch a crystal attack.
By mastering the use of the Ferro Goo and the Magnetic Fork, and by timing your attacks on Wormzilla's vulnerable moments, you'll be able toconquer this formidable sand monster and continue your exploration ofthe savage planets! Good luck!
