Tracking Down Larvitar in the Urban Jungle of Lumiose

True to its reputation, Larvitar remains an elusive find in Legends Z-A. You won't stumble upon it easily; it requires a bit of exploration and parkour skill. Your search should focus on the Vert Sector, specifically during the daytime or in the evenings at Wild Zone 15.For trainers eager to get their hands on one early, there's a clever method involving the rooftops of Vert Plaza (Wild Area 2). Here’s a breakdown of the path:
  • Start at Vert Plaza and take the stairs up into the park area.
  • Look for a ladder on your right-hand side and climb it.
  • Navigate across the green roof, dodging any curious Bellsprouts, and head towards a stack of boxes.
  • Climb on top of the boxes and carefully shimmy along the border.
  • This is the tricky part: perform a roll/vault combo (press and release Y/B while pushing forward) to leap across a gap onto the opposite rooftop.
  • Follow this hidden path, and you'll find your prize—a wild Larvitar, or if you're exceptionally lucky, a formidable Alpha Larvitar!
    • If the platforming proves too frustrating, don't worry. After you complete Main Mission 16, you'll unlock the Rotom Glide ability, which makes returning to this secret spot a breeze.

    The Evolutionary Path: From Larvitar to Mega Tyranitar

    Evolving Larvitar is a straightforward but rewarding process of dedication and training. It follows a classic two-stage level evolution:
    • Larvitar evolves into Pupitar at Level 30.
    • Pupitar evolves into the mighty Tyranitar at Level 55.

    Once you have Tyranitar, the real fun begins. This Pseudo-Legendary Pokémonboasts a staggering 600 Base Stat Total (BST) and has access to one ofthe most impressive transformations in the game: Mega Evolution.

    To achieve this, you must first acquire the Tyranitarite Mega Stone. This key item is your reward for completing Main Mission Nº38: A Rogue Mega Tyranitar, a late-game story event. Once you have it, simply have Tyranitar hold the stone, and you can Mega Evolve it during battle.

    Why Mega Tyranitar is a Must-Have on Your Team

    Mega Evolution transforms Tyranitar from a powerhouse into an unstoppableforce of nature. Its BST skyrockets to 700, with massive boosts to itsphysical stats:

    • Attack receives a huge +30 boost.
    • Defense is fortified with a massive +40 increase.

    • Speed is slightly improved by +10.
