Chapter 2 All Collectibles in Ninja Gaiden 4

Picking up immediately where the tutorial ended, Chapter 2: Haunted District in Ninja Gaiden 4 (NG4) thrusts you into the heart of a war-torn Sky City Tokyo. Having already dismantled two of the city's four main Pylons, your mission is clear: destroy the third while navigating a gauntlet of collapsing infrastructure, new enemy types, and hidden collectibles.This in-depth guide will lead Yakumo through every deadly encounter, locate all three essential chests, identify the first crucial Black Scale for your health upgrade, and provide the strategy needed to conquer the final boss, ensuring a complete and rewarding run through the Haunted District.

Ninja Gaiden 4: Chapter 2 All Collectibles

Chapter 2 Walkthrough Part 1 – Entering the District

The Haunted District begins with an immediate test of your traversal skills.

Run the Rails and DarkNest Terminal 1

• The Collapse: The chapter starts on a seemingly clear, long bridge. Predictably, it collapses as Yakumo crosses.
• Rail Sequence: While falling, use the Caddis Wire to grapple onto a rail. This triggers a frantic rail-jumping sequence. Pay close attention to the RB/R1 prompts to avoid obstacles and oncoming trains.
• Terminal Access: At the end of the rail section, defeat the small group of enemies. This area leads directly to the chapter's first DarkNest Terminal and the first Tyran's Raven.

New Missions and Collectibles

Interacting with the first DarkNest Terminal unlocks new available missions:

• Execute the DDO Bodyguards – Reward: NinjaCoin x3500
• Execute the Otherworldy Invaders – Reward: NinjaCoin x4500

If you completed the 50-enemy mission from Chapter 1, this is where you can turn it in for the Bulwark God's Orb, an Accessory that halves all ranged damage taken.

• Tyran's Raven: The raven is perched on a fence near the AC vents next to the terminal.

First Black Scale and Health Upgrade

Leaving the terminal, you enter a large, highly vertical combat area that introduces the ability to grapple to combat drones. There are three important chests here:

Chest 1 (Rejuvenation Elixir): Found at ground level near the start of the encounter, against a wall of electronic control panels.

Chest 2 (Rejuvenation Elixir): Also at ground level, but slightly hidden behind large blue containers near the base of the yellow ladder.

Chest 3 (Black Scale 1): Ascend the yellow ladder to the rooftops. A wall-run and a series ofdrone-grapples lead you to an encounter with an elite DDO soldier. Chest 3 is at the end of a short alley immediately beyond this enemy.

• Max Health Increase: Chest 3 contains the first Black Scale. If you successfully collected the Data Chip side mission in Chapter 1, you will already possess a Phantasmal Herb. The game will automatically combine the two items into the Dragon Lord's Grace, which Yakumo consumes to permanently increase his max health!

Chapter 2 Walkthrough Part 2 – Side Hunts and Progression

Before progressing down the main rail, you have the option to tackle the Purgatory Gate challenge and a major side mission.

The Purgatory Gate

• Locating the Gate: Instead of jumping on the rail near Chest 3, turn back towards theledges you climbed. At the point where the first drone is hovering, turn right.
• Access: Jump down to the lower rooftop, then look across the gap for an older rail to jump onto. Ride this rail to a newroom, take the stairs up, and follow the path to the Purgatory Gate.
• The Challenge: Remember to choose your challenge wisely! The more health you sacrifice at the start, the greater the rewards will be.

Riding the Rails to DarkNest Terminal 2

• Re-engaging: After the Purgatory Gate, return to the rooftop rail near Chest 3.
• The Journey: Jump onto the rail to begin the long rail-hopping sequence leading to the next combat arena.
• Terminal 2: After clearing the enemies on the long platform, a large red and black gate will open. Pass through it to reach the second DarkNest Terminal and Tyran's Raven.

Execute the DDO Bodyguards Mission

• Entry: From the second terminal, use the Flying Bird Flip to reach the upper level. Instead of going through the forward door, turn around.
• Path: Look across the gap for an opening you can jump to, then use the Caddis Wire to follow the path into the large mission arena.
• Objective: Defeat the group of DDO enemies. The exit gate leads you directly back to DarkNest Terminal 2.

Chapter 2 Walkthrough Part 3 – The Final Encounter

The last leg of the chapter leads you to the final Pylon and the boss encounter.

Reach DarkNest Terminal 3

Departure: From the second terminal, use the Flying Bird Flip walls again and head through the door (opposite the bodyguard mission exit).

The Rocket Ride: Immediately defeat two basic enemies, then jump onto the rail. Thisnext rail sequence is complicated by an enemy ship firing rockets atyou. You must jump to the next rail (RB/R1) when a rocket approaches!

Obstacles: Small drones will also drop obstacles onto the rail; use Shurikens (B/Circle) or simply jump over them.

Terminal 3: The rail deposits you into a chamber with the third DarkNest Terminal and Tyran's Raven. Be sure to open Chest 4 against a wall, which contains Kongou Iron Brew x1.

Final Boss Fight: DDO Proto-Goliath

Pre-Boss Chest: From the third terminal, exit the chamber. Before you jump on the final rail, look to the right to find Chest 5, which contains Incense of Rebirth x1 (a resurrection item).

The Arena: The final rail section drops you into the boss arena.

Clear the Minions: The DDO Proto-Goliath is initially surrounded by multiple enemies, including the kite-like flyers. Prioritize eliminating these smaller threats first before focusing on the massive boss.

Boss Strategy: Once the Proto-Goliath is isolated, it becomes deceptively easy.

• Defense: Its slow, club-based attacks are easily dodged with a Perfect Dodge or deflected with a Parry.
• Offense: When the boss charges up a power attack (signaled by a red exclamation point), strike it immediately with a Bloodraven-stance attack to interrupt and stagger it. Utilizing the Berserk State will make this fight even faster.

Conclusion: Once the boss is defeated, you'll have a brief final encounter where the devastating Bloodbath Slaughter (a sweeping attack in Beserk State) is unlocked. Destroy the final Pylon to successfully complete Chapter 2: Haunted District.
