We welcome you to our guide on How To Defeat The Musha Trio in Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis in a specific and detailed way.

Onnen, Tenjin, and Kaiden Musha are a trio that excels at dealing devastating physical damage. You'll encounter them as you progress through the Empyrean Desert in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis.

While you might recognize some of these voices from other projects, they may be new to the Persona series.

To somewhat even the odds, you'll need as many powerful multi-target physical assaults as you can muster, what with Onnen Musha delivering status illnesses, Kaiden Musha going on the offensive, and Tenjin Musha healing. When facing off against the Musha trio, it's wise to include a healer in your party.

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis: How To Defeat The Musha Trio

If you want to win the fight against the Musha trio in Empyrean B9's Episode Aigis, you'll need to bring your strongest fighters, as their physical attacks are often multi-target moves that could hit all three Musha Shadows.

These moves cost HP instead of SP, therefore it's best to bring a healer. Yukari is a good choice because she already has a lot of healing and reviving spells at her disposal. It is crucial to have access to magic that cures status diseases, as you might encounter a few throughout this battle. Concerning the remaining teammates, it is advised to invite two individuals from the following, with the number of participants dependent on whose level is higher when the battle begins:

Metis is an excellent pick because she is immune to critical damage, giving the Musha trio an additional turn in fight, and she has a strong strength stat on top of that.

When Akihiko uses his buff skills on himself or the party, he becomes even more difficult to hit due to his high strength stat and strong agility. This is particularly true when he charges his Theurgy meter and makes you more elusive.

Onnen Musha

  • Strengths: Besides being resistant to Slash, Strike, and Wind, Onnen Musha also boasts a strong defense against Ice, making it a formidable opponent in icy environments. Its weakness to Pierce, Fire, and Electric, however, can be exploited by enemies equipped with corresponding elemental attacks.
  • Weaknesses: Its vulnerability to Light and Dark magic is a significant drawback, especially in dungeons or encounters with enemies that specialize in these elements.
  • Key Attacks: Onnen Musha's Primal Force and Poison Arrow are reliable physical attacks that can inflict damage and status effects. Its Evil Touch, while less potent, can be a useful tool for disrupting enemies with the Fear status.

Tenjin Musha

  • Strengths: Like Onnen Musha, Tenjin Musha is resistant to Slash, Strike, and Wind. Its additional resistance to Ice further enhances its survivability in certain situations. However, its weaknesses to Pierce, Fire, and Electric remain unchanged.
  • Weaknesses: Similar to Onnen Musha, Tenjin Musha is also vulnerable to Light and Dark magic.
  • Key Attacks: Tenjin Musha's Brave Blade and Vorpal Blade are powerful physical attacks that can deal significant damage to single and multiple targets. Its Mediarama and Makarakarn provide valuable healing and defensive capabilities, making it a versatile Persona for both offense and support.

Kaiden Musha

  • Strengths: Kaiden Musha shares the same resistances and weaknesses as Onnen Musha and Tenjin Musha. Its exceptional physical defense, however, makes it particularly resilient against physical attacks.
  • Weaknesses: Its vulnerability to Light and Dark magic remains a significant concern.
  • Key Attacks: Kaiden Musha's Deathbound is a devastating AoE attack that can inflict heavy damage to all enemies. Its Brave Blade and Vorpal Blade are also potent physical attacks. The Charge skill allows Kaiden Musha to deal increased physical damage with its subsequent attacks, making it a formidable force in combat. Its High Counter and Evade Strike provide additional defensive capabilities.

Bring all of your charged Theurgy attacks to the boss fight in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis, especially the ones that can hit several targets at once. The aforementioned resistances don't stop you from using your devastating Theurgy skills against the Mushas and other Shadows.

Beating Tenjin, Onnen, and Kaiden in Musha

In Episode Aigis, you'll face off against Onnen, Kaiden, and Tenjin Musha—three Shadows with different strengths and weaknesses—so it's wise to concentrate on inflicting physical harm. Because physical attacks deal regular damage to all Mushas, you should focus on destroying the handful that have elemental weaknesses until you've beaten a couple of them.

In this fight, you should aim for causing physical damage to multiple targets at once, but be careful because the Mushas can and will avoid physical attacks. This might easily devolve into an annoying war of attrition if you don't constantly dealing powerful physical blows that target many targets (and healing when necessary) to quickly dispatch the Mushas. Curiously, Tenjin Musha possesses Makarakarn, which it mostly employs to safeguard its Ice and Wind affinities.

If Tenjin Musha isn't utilizing Makarakarn, Yukari can deliver Wind damage to it on the rare occasion that she isn't healing the team. Remember to employ a Wind magic talent that targets just one enemy; Onnen Musha drains Wind magic but Kaiden Musha is strong to it. It is also wise to shatter Makarakarn with Yukari's Wind magic, since she mitigates Wind damage.

If you want to stop Tenjin Musha from healing the enemy team, you should probably target it first because it has Mediarama. Be wary of Onnen Musha's status illness moves; if not treated, they can quickly shift the advantage of the Mushas in battle. You should take care to recover from injuries as soon as possible so that this brutal battle does not drag on indefinitely. Meanwhile, Kaiden Musha is the hardest hit, so you'll need to heal up where you'll be fighting if you want to win.

Benefits when defeating Aigis's Onnen, Tenjin, and Kaiden Musha

There may be only two chests containing Twilight Fragments, but if you've accumulated enough of this valuable material, you'll need a total of six to open them. Within, you will discover:

  • Dojigiri Yasutsuna, a formidable new weapon for Junpei, who, as advised, will most likely request it without prompting.
  • You could choose to present Mitsuru with Longinus, a brand new rapier.

The Strength Major Arcana card, which you can add to your Shuffle Time deck going forward, is also obtained in this fight. During Shuffle Time after battle, you can increase the maximum SP of every party member by five points only by picking it from the deck. Even though Aigis has her own SP-boost card, supporting your buddies in SEES is always a good idea.
