How to Trade in Path of Exile 2?

You have two different ways you can trade with another player:

To initiate a trade with another player within the same instance, simply right-click their avatar and select 'Trade' from the dropdown, as shown in the screenshot above. For this to work the two characters need to be in the same town and instance. You can accept the request of trade without being in the same party.
To initiate a trade with another player through direct messages - such as Whispers or Global Chat - right-click their name in the chat and select 'Invite To Party.' Once they accept, all you have to do is click the blue swirl/circle on their avatar to teleport to their location. Once both you and your trading partner are in the same instance, right-click their name again and select 'Trade' from the menu. Wait for them to give the thumbs-up to complete the process.
The 'Accept' tab for the trades turns on only when players hover over the item being given by the other party. This is done to safeguard both parties and to ensure that neither party is duped or cheated in the transaction.

Knowing the Path of Exile 2 Trade Site and How It Works

As in its predecessor, Path of Exile 2 has a dedicated trading website to ease up and make the process of item exchange among users as smooth and convenient as possible. The trading website is accessible directly from the official website. Location: this is the official Path of Exile 2 trade site.

Users can search the site for buying weapons and equipment from other players or put up a listing of their own items for sale.

How to Buy Items from the PoE 2 Trade Website

Use the filters to find what you're looking to buy.

Click Copy Whisper and an auto-generated message will be copied to your clipboard with the seller's @handle included.
Type this in in-game chat, and a whisper will be sent to the seller.
Right-click the seller's name and select 'Invite to Party'.
Once you're in party, right-click their avatar and select 'Visit Hideout,' or click the circle in their party portrait to teleport to them.
Start a trade invitation.
Please make sure to deposit the agreed-upon price in your assigned area, and take a second to hover over the items placed by the seller in their section to confirm that they are what they say they are.
Simply click 'Accept' to complete the trade.

How to Sell Items in PoE 2 Using the Trade Site

To start selling items on the official Path of Exile 2 trading site, simply buy a Premium Stash from the Microtransaction shop and put the item you want to sell inside. Give this tab a name and color, then mark it as 'Public'.

Everything you add in this tab will be automatically shown on the PoE 2 trading site as available for sale. Set the prices for items individually or select bulk for convenience. Buyers interested in your items will now contact you in-game with a whisper.

Players who have a Premium Stash Tab in their account are not allowed to publicly list items for sale until they have a level 25 character. Similarly, players who do not fit the qualifications can still buy items from a seller.
