PoE 2 sets itself apart from its predecessor by introducing an innovative method for controlling character movement through alternative inputs. In a significant shift from its predecessor, PoE 2 now allows players to navigate using the WASD keys, reminiscent of first-person shooters. At the beginning of a campaign, you're presented with the choice between two movement inputs, but the method for switching between them might not be immediately obvious.

Path of Exile 2: How to Change Movement Input

In Path of Exile 2, players have the flexibility to toggle between WASDand Mouse 1 (Left-Click) whenever they choose throughout their campaign. Here’s the approach:

Return to the main menu, where you canchoose between the character selection screen or the Login screen. Youmust exit the instance to change this setting; it cannot be modifiedwhile you are inside.

Select 'Options'. Locate the icon positioned at the top left of the character selection screen.

Select the ‘Input’ tab located in the top menu.

Open the drop-down menu for ‘Input Method’ and choose ‘Mouse & Keyboard’ for Left-Click to navigate, or select ‘WASD’ for the alternativeoption.

Hit ‘Save,’ followed by ‘Close.’

WASD or Left-Click: Which Movement Style is Best for PoE 2?
