In Overwatch 2, your Endorsement level serves as a quick and visible reflection of your reputation as a teammate. It’s a system designed to encourage positive behavior, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. Where to Find Your Endorsement Level

The quickest and most direct way to check your Endorsement level is from the main menu.

• From the Overwatch 2 main menu, look at the top-right corner of your screen.
• You will see your player name, player icon, and banner.
• Right-click on your player name. A smaller version of your career profile will pop up.
• Your Endorsement level is displayed here as a number inside a small circle, right next to your name.

Your Endorsement level ranges from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest possible rank. Seeing a high number next to a player's name is generally a good indicator that they are a positive and skilled teammate.

How the Endorsement System Works

Every player starts at Level 1 and can climb the ranks byconsistently receiving endorsements from other players. The system isdynamic and is designed to reward consistent positive behavior over along period.

• Gaining Levels: Each time you receive anendorsement at the end of a match, your hidden Endorsement scoreincreases, moving you closer to the next level.
• Level Decay: Your Endorsement level slightly decays after every match you play, even if you don't receive any endorsements. The decay rate is slower if apercentage of players in your lobby were unable to endorse you (forexample, if they recently endorsed you). This means you have toconsistently earn endorsements to maintain a high level.
• Penalties: Any penalties you receive for bad behavior, such as being reported forabusive chat or for leaving games early, can cause your Endorsementlevel to drop. In severe cases, your level can drop all the way to 0.

Rewards and Perks of a High Endorsement Level

While the Endorsement system is primarily a social measure, maintaining a high level comes with tangible rewards.

• Battle Pass XP: Players with higher Endorsement levels periodically receive a smallbonus of Battle Pass XP. These rewards are given out automatically andhelp you progress through your Battle Pass faster.
• Social Privileges: A player's Endorsement level can be tied to social privileges. Forexample, a player with a Level 0 Endorsement may be restricted fromusing certain chat channels, while higher levels may have access to allchat functions.

The Rules for Endorsing Others

Endorsing other players is simple, but there are a few rules to keep in mind.

• Endorsement Limit: At the end of a match, you can endorse up to two different players.
• Endorsement Cooldown: You cannot endorse the same player again for a 12-hour cooldown period.
• Anonymity: Endorsements are anonymous. You will get a simple message in your chatthat says "Endorsement," but it won't reveal who gave it to you.
• Game Mode Restrictions: Endorsements are not available in certain game modes, such as custom games, 1v1 duels, and special event modes like Yeti Hunt.
• Battle Pass XP: Each time you endorse a player, you receive a small amount of BattlePass XP, so it's always worth it to show your appreciation for a goodteammate.
