We invite you to discover How To Set Up Water Pumps in Once Human with our detailed guide today.

In Once Human, water is an indispensable resource, crucial for survival, agriculture, and crafting. Manually collecting water can be a laborious and time-consuming task, significantly hindering progress. Water Pumps, however, offer a more efficient and automated approach. While their initial setup might require some attention and understanding, mastering their use is highly beneficial, especially for players seeking a passive Acid farm or simply aiming to streamline their gameplay experience.

By utilizing Water Pumps, players can significantly reduce the time and effort spent on water collection, allowing them to focus on other aspects of the game. Additionally, these pumps can be integrated into various farming and crafting setups, providing a steady supply of water for essential activities. Therefore, learning how to effectively use Water Pumps is a worthwhile investment for any player looking to optimize their gameplay and enhance their overall efficiency in Once Human.

Water Extraction in Once Human

To streamline water collection in Once Human, consider constructing a Water Pump (Extractor). Unlike manual scooping from natural bodies of water, this extractor can automatically gather Dirty Water when placed over dirt or sand and connected to a power source.

To purify the extracted water, you can either boil it in a Stove or connect the extractor to a Water Purifier. For automated purification, follow these steps:

  • Enter Build Mode: Access the building menu.
  • Connect Pipes: Approach the Water Pump (Extractor) and press V to start connecting water pipes.
  • Link to Purifier: Navigate to your Water Purifier and press V again to connect the pipes.
  • Ensure Gravity Flow: For efficient water transfer, position the Extractor at a higher elevation than the Purifier.

To extract Crude Oil, place a Water Pump (Extractor) over a patch of black ground in the Blackheart or Red Sands regions. These areas are characterized by their dark, often inky soil, which is a clear indicator of the presence of crude oil. For Polluted Water, position your extractor over dirt or sand in a Stardust-polluted area. These areas are typically marked by a hazy, shimmering atmosphere and a distinct, acrid odor. A prime location for Polluted Water is the Refinery Pollution Point in Once Human, just south of Greywater Camp in the Iron River region. This area is heavily contaminated due to the nearby refinery, making it an ideal spot for collecting polluted water. You can identify polluted ground by the ticking sound your backpack emits. This audible cue serves as a reliable indicator of the presence of pollutants in the surrounding environment.

How To Set Up Water Pumps in Once Human?

Wall Pumps are indispensable tools for efficient water management in your base. These devices can reverse the natural flow of water, allowing you to strategically place extractors at lower elevations and transport water uphill to purifiers, storage tanks, or other production facilities.

To determine the direction of water flow, simply observe the white flashing light moving along the water pipe. This visual indicator is a helpful aid in ensuring your water network is functioning as intended.

To utilize a Wall Pump, begin by placing it on a wall. Then, connect your extractor to the pump's input, ensuring a secure connection. Next, attach a pipe to the pump's output and connect it to your desired destination. It's crucial to remember that the pump requires a power source to operate effectively. Connect it to a Hydraulic Generator or any other powered facility to ensure its functionality.

By strategically placing Wall Pumps throughout your base, you can optimize water transportation, streamline production processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
