Masala is not an ingredient you can easily farm or find in large quantities. It's considered a rare find and requires diligent searching:

• Lootable Containers: Your primary method for acquiring Masala will be by searching through various small storage containers within lootable houses, stores, and sometimes even military bases. Keep an eye out for:
  • Cupboards
  • Bedside tables
  • Seed containers and similar small storage spots.
• NPC Vendor: Masala can also be purchased from an NPC vendor in a higher-level area like Blackfell. This provides a reliable, albeit limited, source.
• No Farming: Unlike some other ingredients, Masala cannot be grown or harvested from plants in the wild. This scarcity makes looting a crucial part of your Masala collection strategy. Your best bet is to consistently check every available storage container as you explore.

How to Use Masala

Masala is used as a key ingredient in several cooking recipes, adding adistinctive flavor profile and contributing to various beneficial foodbuffs. The quantity needed will vary by recipe:

• Yuanbao Slippers: Requires three Masala.
• Fries: Requires two Masala.
• Deviant Sausage: Requires two Masala.

To begin cooking in Once Human, you first need to unlock the Stoves Memetic in the Logistics Tree. As you progress through the game and unlock additional Memetics like Dishes I, Dishes II, Dishes III, and Air Drying, you'll gain access to a wider array of recipes, significantly expanding your cooking options and the utility of ingredients like Masala.

The recently introduced Chef class (as part of the Annual Update 2.0 and Endless Dream Scenario) further enhances the cooking system. Chefs gain unique abilities, such as "Creative Cooking," allowing them tofreely combine ingredients outside of set recipes, and the "Glutton"talent, which enables stacking multiple food effects. Even for non-Chef players, revamped existing dishes offer redesignedingredient combination effects, making cooking more impactful.
