Acquiring the Recipe

Accessing the Memetics Menu: Launch the game and access the Memetics menu, your hub for skills and upgrades.
Unlocking Infrastructure: Navigate to the “Infrastructure” section within the Memetics menu.
Essential Essentials: Obtain the “Smelting Essentials” skill first. This is the foundation for future crafting recipes, including the Copper Pickaxe.
Copper Pickaxe Recipe: With “Smelting Essentials” unlocked, spend 2 Ciphers to acquire the Copper Pickaxe recipe.

Crafting at the Workbench

Supply Workbench: Make sure you have a Supply Workbench at your base. If you don’t, unlock the recipe in the “Crafting” section of the Memetics menu:

Unlock “Essential Tools.”
Obtain "Gear Workbench" (unlocks the Supply Workbench).
Placement of Workbench: Place the Supply Workbench inside your base for crafting.

Materials Required: Gather the following resources

Logs x5: Acquired from chopping down trees.
Copper Ingots x7:
Locate and mine Copper Ore from Copper Nodes in the world.
Build a Furnace (unlocked in the Memetics menu for 20 Copper Ore and 30 Gravel).
Smelt Copper Ore with Coal (obtained from Logs in the Furnace) to create Ingots (3 Copper Ore and 1 Coal per Ingot).
Peels x2: Obtained from hunting animals.
Crafting the Pickaxe: With the materials gathered, head to your Supply Workbench and craft the Copper Pickaxe.

Prioritize Smelting: Unlock “Smelting Essentials” before the copper pickaxe recipe to make obtaining ingots easier.
Early Furnace: Build a furnace early in the game to process copper ore.
Resource Management: Efficiently manage your logs for charcoal crafting and construction.
