How to Extract Hexes in Off the Grid

In the world of Off the Grid, you begin a match with nothing and must scavenge to survive. As you explore, you'll find essential items like weapons, healing supplies, and Cyberlimbs. Among the most valuable materials you can find are Hexes.Hexes are the rarest material in Off the Grid. They are used to unlock exciting rewards such as weapons and skins. However, finding them is difficult, and even after you do, you must successfully extract them to keep them permanently. This guide will walk you through the process of how to extract Hexes in Off the Grid.

Finding a Hex

The first step is to locate a Hex.

• Loot Boxes: Hexes can be found in loot boxes scattered randomly across the map. Your best bet is to open every box you encounter, as there are no specific spawn locations. They are extremely rare, but most matches will have at least a few hidden somewhere.
• Contracts: Another way to acquire Hexes is by completing their associated contracts.
• Hex Types: There are different types of Hexes, and you can only carry one at a time.

The Extraction Process

Once you've found a Hex, the next step is to extract it safely.

Locate a Hextractor: You need to find a Hextractor machine, which are scattered around the map.

Start Extraction: Walk up to a Hextractor and interact with it to place your Hex inside.The extraction process will begin, and a progress bar will appear.

Defend the Hextractor: When you start extracting a Hex, the game notifies all other players on the map. Since Hexes are so valuable, other players will likely come to steal it. You must be prepared for a fight and defend your Hextractoruntil the process reaches 100%. Once complete, the Hex will be added toyour inventory.

How to Steal a Hex from a Hextractor

If another player has already started the extraction process, you have the option to steal their Hex.

Eliminate the Player: Go to the Hextractor and eliminate the player or players who are extracting.

Sabotage the Hextractor: Once the area is clear, shoot the engines on the Hextractor to sabotage their extraction.

Start Your Own Extraction: After shooting the engines, interact with the Hextractor to begin yourown extraction process. If you successfully complete it, the Hex will be added to your inventory, even if you are eliminated later in the match.
