Rainbow Six: Siege is the latest installment of Tom Clancy's first-person shooting franchise from Ubisoft, and the new trailer that was unveiled earlier this week shows the recent DLC called "Operation Burnt Horizon," which is expected to be launched after the Six Invitational tournament in Montreal that will be held on February 17.

This new addition brings a new map, the number 21 that the company has created for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, it will be a medium size map and its name is "Outback".

Ubisoft says the new map is a tribute to the land of Australia, specifically focused on the service stations that are around the forgotten roads of that country. In a quick tour of the new battlefields bathed by the Australian sun, you can see a motel in decline, a statue of kangaroo, a road house, a garage, a bar, but especially the exterior dyed with red sand .

Jacques Wong, assistant level design director, explained: "We divided the map into three different sections (the garage, the motel and the restaurant) and strive to make sure that each section is recognizable, even from a distance," adding that they used different strategies so that the player's gaze is always focused towards the direction he should go.

"Operation Burnt Horizon" will change Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege approach a bit, so Wong added: "We wanted to emphasize the impact of players' decision-making, so, for example, there are a limited number of doors between each section. "

The expansion will also bring two new Australian operators who used to be part of the SASR, who are even old friends who will provide some knowledge about Australia during Burnt Horizon.

Ubisoft described the operators in this way: "One is a stoic attacker who is there to do the job, and the other is a Rapid Intelligence Defender who is in this for the guts and the glory."

Although we know very little information about what these characters will do, the news did not really surprise the players, since in January some information had been leaked alleging the existence of two new operators, where they said that the Attacker was called Gridlock while the Defender was called Mozzie, and according to how little Ubisoft said, the filtration is likely to be reliable.
