In social networks it is common to see how many people make flashy draws, some usually do so to get the attention of a particular product or to reward their followers or community, as do many influencers or companies.

This week things got a little out of control with the draws, as Nintendo fans seem to feel very generous and through Reddit wanted to offer a lot of Nintendo Switch products totally free, such as a copy of Stardew Valley .

It is difficult to say at what point I start this situation exactly, but it was considered that one of the first draws was from a Nintendo Switch subreddit user who offered a code that he had obtained as a secret Christmas gift from Nintendo Switch Online and decided to give it away because he already had a subscription Although almost at the same time another user wanted to give a free video game for the Switch console, while another user drew two copies of the turn-based video game: Wargroove.

That user has raffled not just one, but two Wargroove games, which was released a short time ago, is something that can surprise and no doubt many participated to win that Wargroove for Nintendo Switch.

At this point, the situation stopped being common in a few hours, to become an extreme wave of raffles by the Nintendo community, it really seemed like a competition to see who was giving away the most games. Everything became so crazy, that many users appeared saying: "I saw that some people are doing a free raffle, so I also started one."

The amount of games that were raffled was going up, first there were three, then four, until Reddit users began to exceed these amounts, arriving to give away five or six games, finally reached such extremes of giving $ 500 in games and! to a Nintendo Switch console! (publication that was deleted).

Before this great commotion that was occurring in Reddit, a user gathered in a single thread all the sweepstakes competitions, where he showed that there were sixteen in total. Therefore, it was to be expected that before such events in a few hours the moderators would have to intervene, deciding that the best thing would be to temporarily prohibit the draws, a radical but necessary action.

The moderators said that things got out of control and it was even difficult to know how many of those users were actually giving away the games, as many trolls could be behind those publications. On the other hand, all this came to a point where the true utility of the subreddit was being affected.

The team of moderators began to work on verifying what the legitimate draws were, in addition to making sure that the publications are adequate, even reminding users that they should not give personal information for their safety.
