Epic Games recently has Banhammer in more than 1000 cheats during its Fortnite World Cup event.

Fortnite Intel has published a note where it is announced that Epic Games ban managed to capture 1,163 accounts, which had managed to pass below the regional blocks, this allowed them to participate in multiple regions during the World Cup of Fortnite.

Even one of the banned accounts received a permanent ban, for using the cheat software during the semifinals. In this particular case, Epic Games managed to notice that the account was in use for less than five minutes in the tournament.

Another of the more than 1,000 accounts was banned for a period of 72 hours, only because he had intentionally and deliberately disconnected midway through the game, not to award points to the competition for knocking him down.

Epic Games has said that its security measures will be intensified, adding an equipment detection system, which will allow players to report players who believe they are cheating, and formal investigations will be conducted using repetitions in the game.
