How to turn off Tactical Stance in Modern Warfare 3

In Modern Warfare 3, the Tactical Stance mechanic can be a bit tricky to handle. But don't worry, we've got you covered! In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to turn off Tactical Stance entirely and provide some tips on how to minimize its impact when sliding and aiming.

To start, navigate to the Controller settings in Modern Warfare 3. You can find this option in the game's main menu. It's essential to familiarize yourself with the game's settings, as they allow you to customize your gameplay experience to suit your preferences.

Once you're in the Controller settings, look for the Gameplay tab. This tab contains various options that affect how the game controls and mechanics behave. Click on it to proceed.

Within the Gameplay tab, locate the "Tactical ADS Activation" option. By default, it is set to "On." This setting determines whether Tactical Stance is engaged when you aim down sights (ADS). To turn off Tactical Stance completely, simply switch it to "Off."

By disabling Tactical ADS Activation, you remove the prompt and activation buttons for Tactical Stance. This helps prevent any accidental triggering of the mechanic during intense gameplay moments. Tactical Pads are a game-changer when it comes to minimizing the impact of Tactical Stance on your gameplay. These boots alter your character's movements and ensure that they predominantly keep their gun up normally while sliding and aiming. With the Tactical Pads equipped, the use of Tactical Stance will be significantly reduced in these scenarios.

If you slide for an extended period while aiming down sights with the Tactical Pads equipped, there might still be a brief window where you'll see some tactical stance animation. However, if you perform a slide cancel, you won't see it at all. Slide canceling involves canceling the slide animation by quickly transitioning into another action, such as sprinting or shooting.
