Every Kind of Incense


In Metaphor ReFantazio there are five different types of incense. The two most common varieties are Hero's Incense and Strength Incense, both of which can be found in Belega Corridor. The complete list of all the incense and what they can do follows:
  • The aroma from this rare and fragrant wood purifies the mind. Gains 100 more Archetype experience.
  • Mysterious incense that fortifies the body, reinforcing strength. Gain one point in strength.
  • Mysterious health incense, fortifying the defenses of the body. Rakes maximum health to 5.
  • Hero's Fruit - Rare fragrant tree fruit seeds. Raises Archetype level by 500.
  • Magic mysterious and energetic incense that reinforces the body. Gains a boost of magic of 1.
  • Energy Incense: mysterious incense that fortifies the body constitution. Increases Max MP by 2.
  • Hero's Leaf of Light: perfumed mountain grass shining so brightly, fairies love it. Raises Archetype level by 1,000.

How to Obtain All Types of Incense in Metaphor ReFantazio


Whether it's diving through dungeons, combining Archetypes, completing quests, or engaging in activities within the many cities of Metaphor ReFantazio, there are numerous ways to obtain Incense, none of which require you to go very much out of your way to find any of them. If you happen to lose a few Incense sticks, fear not there's an abundance of each type. That said, some are much easier to get than others.

Incense of the Hero



This is the most common incense because it pops up in most locations, from the Regalith Grand Cathedral down to dungeons in Belega Corridor as these little shiny blue things you can interact with. The 100 A-EXP increases of Hero Incense are a lifesaver for early-game Archetype leveling up and learning its next strike.


Medicinal Herbs are given to the Main in Pain NPC on Sunshade Row in Grand Trad in exchange for Hero Incense extra supply. Besides, at higher levels of the Healer Archetype, you'll easily complete the quest "More's Task: Foreward and Prologue" and get three Hero Incenses at once, as this quest is unlocked automatically throughout the story and is quite easy to complete.

Aromatherapy Essential Oil


Thus far into our investigation with Regalith Grand Cathedral-fol-lowing the scene at the Royal Funeral but before Hulkenburg joins the group-we have found the only Health Incense in Metaphor ReFantazio.

Power Cologne


Like its Health counterpart, the Strength Incense has thus far only been found within the Belega Corridor. Since it's part of an optional dungeon, you can easily miss it unless you increase your Wisdom high enough to provide access to the side quest "A Bullish Embargo" by the Igniter Merchantress.

Reward of Virtue


Since it rewards five times the A-EXP for an Archetype, Hero's Fruit is like the next tier of Hero's Incense as you go through Metaphor ReFantazio. Until now, it was possible to get the Hero's Fruit only after earning new Archetypes for each member of our party from More.

Enchanted Cologne


So far in our playthroughs of Metaphor ReFantazio, Magic Incense is a pretty rare and hard-to-find item, found only in really very rare locations such as the Reception Chamber in Regalith Grand Cathedral, just before you face off against a school of Spekto in Grand Trad to destroy the black Magla crystal.

Power Incense


So far, we have only found the Energy Incense that we got by defeating Zorba, which makes this another really rare item within Metaphor ReFantazio.

A Hero's Guide to Safety


You can think of this as the final evolution of Hero's Fruit since it gives an Archetype 1,000 A-EXP compared with 100 or 500. This potent Incense can only be acquired by leveling up an Archetype to Master Rank.
