Metaphor: ReFantazio poor audio problem solution

You should keep in mind that, at the moment, these audio problems occur mainly on PC, either through Steam or the Xbox application. Now, if you want to solve this annoying problem, you will have to download the third-party software FxSound on your PC. Although this is not an ideal solution, it is the only one that can solve this problem for the moment.
Here's what you need to do:

Download FxSound from the official website and install it.
Launch FxSound on your PC and set up your preferred audio device. This can be your headphones or speakers.
Save your settings.
Launch Metaphor: ReFantazio, then head to System Settings, select Audio, then Audio Output.
From here, choose FxSound Speakers or FxSound Audio Enhancer, then save your settings.

This should be enough to fix this annoying audio issue. You should take advantage of the fact that you are in the audio settings so that you can set the master volume to maximum.
NOTE: At the time of writing this article, no official information has been received from Atlus acknowledging the bug, however, we hope that this will be fixed soon.

How to Fix Low Audio Issues

Here's how to fix the low audio issue:

1. Install FxSound: Open the official website of FxSound at [https://www.fxsound.com/download](https://www.fxsound.com/download) and download the software onto your PC. Follow any on-screen installation prompts.

2. Configure FxSound Audio Device: Launch FxSound and select your preferred audio output device-headphones or speakers. Do not forget to save your settings.

3. Change the Audio Output Settings in Metaphor: ReFantazio:

In Metaphor: ReFantazio, click on System Settings.
In the Audio menu,
In Audio Output, select either FxSound Speakers or FxSound Audio Enhancer, whichever is the case for your setup in FxSound.
Save and this will adjust your in-game audio settings.

Extra Suggestion: While in the audio settings of the game, also set the Master Volume to maximum for even better audio amplification.

Important Points to Consider:

This is just a workaround since it requires third-party software to be used (FxSound), which is not desirable to everyone.
The development team is still working around this bug, and we are hopping this will get an official patch once and for all. It was also an issue in the demo version of this game.

Workarounds (Not as good):

Less reliable yet with some success, people have been trying:

Turn off Spatial Sound: Disable any spatial sound settings in your computer's audio settings.
Audio Output Device Flip: In certain instances, toggling the audio output device within options of the game and then back resolves the problem.
