How to use Suppressors in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, suppressors are a vital piece of equipment for any soldier committed to a stealthy approach. These attachments silence your pistol shots, preventing enemies from being alerted to your position. However, they are a limited resource with a limited lifespan, so you'll need to know how to manage them effectively.This guide will walk you through how to equip suppressors and where to find them.

How to Equip a Suppressor

Just like in the original game, Metal Gear Solid Delta does not outright tell you how to attach a suppressor. The process is a bit hidden, but it's simple once you know the steps.

First, ensure you have a suppressor in your inventory and an appropriate weapon equipped. Only specific weapons can use suppressors, most notably the Mk22 tranquilizer pistol and the M1911A1 handgun.

Bring up your active weapon list by pressing D-Pad Right on your controller or E on your keyboard.

Highlight the weapon you want to attach the suppressor to.

Press the Interact button (A on Xbox, X on PlayStation, or F on PC). This will instantly attach the suppressor to your weapon.

Suppressor Durability: You'll notice a small gauge above your weapon's icon on the screen. This gauge indicates the suppressor's durability. Each shot you fire will drain the gauge, and once it is empty, the suppressor will break and be removed. You will need to attach a new one from your inventory.

Where to Find Suppressors

Suppressors are scattered throughout the game world, but theiravailability is heavily tied to the difficulty you are playing on. Onhigher difficulties, they are much rarer, making careful use essential.On lower difficulties, you will find them more frequently, and if youplay on Very Easy, you will even get the EZ Gun, a tranquilizer pistol with infinite ammo and a built-in suppressor that never breaks.

Here are some common ways to find suppressors:

• Ground Pick-ups: Suppressors can be found in various locations, often hidden in corners, under fallen logs, or on top of crates. Be sure to explore every areathoroughly. Early in the game, suppressors can be found in:
  • Dremuchij Swampland (Virtuous Mission)
  • Bolshaya Past Base
  • Rassvet
• Armories and Supply Rooms: Suppressors, along with other valuable gear, are often found in guarded supply buildings and armories within enemy bases.
• Looting Enemies: You can force enemies to drop loot, including suppressors, byperforming a hold-up. Simply sneak up behind a guard, aim your weapon at them, and then aim at their head or groin to make them drop theiritems.

Tips for Using Suppressors

• Conserve Your Suppressors: Don't waste your shots on unalerted enemies. Instead, use CQC(Close-Quarters Combat) to take them down silently. Save yoursuppressors for when you need to make a quick, clean shot from adistance, such as taking out a sniper or a guard you cannot approach.
• Go Non-Lethal: The Mk22 tranquilizer gun is the ideal weapon for a stealthyplaythrough. It can knock enemies out without killing them, and becauseit is a handgun, it can be equipped with a suppressor. Using this gunwill help you conserve your suppressors and play the game's stealthsystems to their fullest.
