The first step in solving the safe room is to use the letters found in the safe room to determine the correct combinations. Here's how to extract this information from each possible letter:

  • The word "five hundred years": add 500 years to the date written in (1847) to get 2347.
  • The word "forty years": Subtract 40 years from the date written in (1847) to get 1807.
  • One letter with the number "1846" underlined in the upper right corner: Code - 1846.
  • A letter that says "the time is the year": Convert the date of the letter to the time (18:47).
  • Convert this time to a 12-hour clock (6:47). The letter mentions “forty-nine years”: subtract 49 from the date of the letter (1847) to get 1,798.

To open the safe, the player must press each button a number of times equal to the value of the corresponding number. Players must customize the dial of this safe to make it look like a clock with the time code displayed. Three button safe


The purpose of this safe is to turn the knobs until the appropriate code is displayed.
