Charcoal is a valuable material in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This guide explains where to buy it and how to find a significant amount for free early in the game.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Where To Buy Charcoal

Buying Charcoal

The easiest way to obtain charcoal is by purchasing it from merchants. Many merchants, even in the early game areas, sell charcoal due to its wide range of uses. Here are some early-game locations where you can buy charcoal:

• Merchant Jurg Thomel - Troskowitz
• Apothecary Emmerich - Troskowitz
• Blacksmith Radovan - Tachov

Finding Charcoal

While you can find charcoal randomly onenemies or in chests, there's a location early in the game where you can acquire 50 charcoal for free:

Starting Point: Begin in Troskowitz and take the main road east.

Apollonia Fast Travel: Continue until you reach the Apollonia fast travel point.

South Past Rancher's Hut: Head south past the rancher's hut.

Unfinished Cottage: In the forest, you'll find the Unfinished Cottage (marked on the map).

Loot: On the back wall of the cottage, there's a locked chest. To the rightof the chest is a small bag containing 50 charcoal. Loot the bag.

Storage Tip

Since 50 charcoal is a substantial amount early on, remember to store itproperly to avoid overburdening your inventory and exceeding your carrycapacity.
