Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a variety of memorable weapons, but one of the most potent swords available early in your adventure is surprisingly easy to miss – and completely free! The Knight's Longsword boasts impressive attack power, and while it's typically a costly purchase in the game, you can acquire this excellent weapon right from the beginning without spending a single Groschen.
Like all weapons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Knight's Longsword has variable quality, meaning each one you find might have slightly different stats. However, the one found in the swamp is guaranteed to be Quality 2, putting it significantly ahead of most weapons you can afford in the initial stages of the game. To claim this valuable blade, you'll need to venture a bit away from Troskowitz.
Follow these directions to find the Knight's Longsword:
Start at the Docks: Your initial landmark is the dock that leads towards the area with the drowned men.
Head South into the Bog: With the dock directly behind Henry, proceed south into the swampy bog area.
Boar Hunting Territory: Keep an eye out for a boar spawn point. This spawn is located very close to the sword's location. If you encounter a boar or see the in-game notification indicating you've entered a boar hunting area, you're on the right track.
Mutt's Assistance (If Applicable): If you have your loyal dog companion, Mutt, with you, he will help you locate the sword by barking and leading Henry directly to it. Good boy, Mutt!
The Sword in the Pond: As you continue through the bog, you should eventually come across a sword sticking upright in the middle of a small pond or shallow water body.
Vagabond Shoes: Near the water's edge, very close to the sword, you should also find a pair of Vagabond Shoes. Feel free to take these as well, especially if Henry's current footwear is in need of repair.
Claim Your Prize: Approach the sword sticking out of the water and interact with it to pick it up. You will discover that it is indeed a Knight's Longsword.
The game leaves the origin story of this sword to your imagination. Its proximity to the drowned men might suggest a connection to their fate. Perhaps the sword belonged to one of them or someone who met a similar tragic end in the swamp. Alternatively, the original owner might have simply fallen into the water and drowned. Regardless of its history, this powerful weapon is now yours for the taking.
The Knight's Longsword found in the swamp offers excellent stats, particularly for the early game:
The most significant advantage of this Knight's Longsword is that it costs you absolutely nothing but a bit of travel time to reach the swamp and locate it. Once Henry wields this weapon, you'll find combat against bandits, knights, and the local wildlife significantly easier in the early stages of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Make sure to venture out and claim this valuable free weapon!
